While the game is technically 2 players, it should be noted that the second player doesn’t actually get to “play.” Meaning that all the second person does is point their wii-mote at the screen and collect stars for Mario (P1) and shoot them at some enemies. That’s the extent of 2 player ability. Other than that, it’s the same thing as Mario Galaxy 1 with the exception of a few new powers, like the bee outfit. The game is still entertaining for my six year old though. That’s why I rated 4 stars, if I had the ability to jump in and play as Luigi to help out, it would have been a for sure 5 star.
