Hedgehog King Of Potatoe's And Mango's
Good... Or Bad?
PostedOctober 30, 2009
I have been a very active Soul Calibur fan for many years. Now Soul Calibur is offered on the PSP! That's great! Or is it? Soul Calibur is a GREAT fighting game series. To me it beats Tekken hands down. But, some problems with the game I didn't like. First off, There isn't a very large roter there is about 30 characters around that. Which in retrospect isn't bad at all, but for a series running for this time. There should definetly be more. Also, I love the fact that Kratos is playable. He is an awesome video game character. But, for some reason playing him I feel held back probably because when you play God Of War, you should be seeing blood shooting out of them. That just seems kind of weird to me. But it isn't such a bad thing but kind of lowers the character ideal for me. The Unlockables, I have not unlocked any characters & I don't think that you do. But Unlocking characters is one of my favorite parts of the fighting genre. There is no Tournement mode!!! That tore me up. I cannot beleive that there is no Tourny mode. How can there be a fighting game without a Tourny mode? Maybe we will have some improvments if there is a second Soul Calibur released. Overall through all the things I didn't cover about the game (the good things) I would actually reccomend it. It is a great time passer. It is tons of fun (minus the things listed above) And even though the character roster isn't extremely large, they picked most of the good characters from the series.

YES!! Soul Calibur Broken Destiny is a great fighting game for the Playstation Entertainment System. Well, it's a great game for any system!! It has some pretty cool characters. The cast now includes Kratos from the hit God of War francise. He is one of my favorite guys with his awesome chain blades. ne of my favorite features of the game is chracter custimation. YOU CAN MAKE ANYONE (or thing) YOU WANT!!!! I made a G.I. from World War II, A Santa Claus knockoff, an evil prince, a young strapping hero, a dark hooded fire soldier and a strange traveler! THE COMBINATIONS ARE ENDLESS!!! It's challenge and has an amazing replay value too! The voice overs are OK not the best for some good but not for other. The challenge is good you get to pick to fight someone with little wins and lots of loses or someone with a lot of wins and little loses. All-in-all this is a great game for any fighting fan, Hardcore gamer, casual gamer, or any one looking for a good time!

Soul calibur 4 part 2
PostedSeptember 25, 2009
this game all in all feels like soul calibur 4 for psp I mean same characters with the exepction of kratos and crazy awesome hat guy, same levels, and same character creation( plus or minus a few things). Well I guess some things have changed mainly the story as the game will state it has nothing to do with the soul calibur universe, and i'm not saying the soul calibur story is gold but like many long running series I buy it to see what will happen next so its kind of a downer. as far as the gameplay its the same as all the others hit, kick, hit harder, and guard and then they take those and put them into a move list which understanding when you have not played in a while is like trying to read a book if you were blind. so if your like me combat is pretty much button mashing, and unlike the others you cant just sit down with a friend and have some frustrating fun since it's on the psp, but I think thats the one thing that saves this game the psp. The allure is being able to bring soul calibur where ever you go just have some good old generic fun on the run so if your a fan or our desperatly trying to find a familiar and some what good game on the psp get it otherwise dont waste your money.

Awesome but little irritating things
PostedSeptember 7, 2009
i LOVE RPG's, Character customization, fighting games, and kick Asphalt special moves, plus awesome graphics. im very nit picky on certain things. First of all the graphics of this game are freaking awesome. the graphics look just as good as final fantasy crisis core maybe even better. the combo moves are great but they dont go into super hard hard moves where you spend like an hour trying to master. there are special moves tho that are pretty cool. theres one thing that kindof bugs me. no button to jump every where, you press guard than up to jump but its not great. ONE THING I HATE ALOT, there is no story line. well there kindof is but definatly not like the old games. its called gauntlet. where you train A LOT and theres somewhat of a story to it. theres quick battles and trials and training. character customization is pretty deep. face, helmet, arms chest, pants, shoes, waist, a whole crap load of colors to chose from plus extras to pimp out your guy. i think its one of the best fighting games on the psp.
