this game is ok the graphics look nothing like the screen shots and you have to stay on a set path while hunting and a guide points you in the right direction which is great for kids but not adults. the mini games are fun like duck and rabbit shooting. well worth 20$ but no more than that . oh the gun is great and fells natural.

Overrated? I think so.

Cabela's Big Game Hunter 2010 was one of my most wanted games, but once I bought it and played the first level, I was saddened to see how short it was. I was returning to the series from 2005. And the two are nothing alike. The visuals were great, the many environments is a great part of this game! The other thing that made me angry was that there was NO story ending to the game, its like the creators forgot it! In the beginning, the main character (you) is trying to get into a professional Hunting Club, and he gets help from a basically an agent, but once you beat the last level of the game, it just goes straight to credits, as if you gained nothing. You don't feel the joy of beating a game on this. The multi-player is good but you don't hunt together, the shotgun minigames are like playing Duck Hunt again with your NES The game is also major easy, if you activate the "Hunter's Sense" you see a waypoint, and it tells you where to go and where the animals are, so your booming through the game very easily. To sum it up, I have to say that this game I think was aimed for a new crowd due to its difficulty level and it didn't live up to my expectations

One of the best shooting games for the Wii
PostedFebruary 27, 2010
When I first got Cabela's Big Game Hunter 2010 with gun, I thought it wouldn't be as nearly good as other shooting games like Modern Warfare Reflex. Well I was wrong! Cabela's Big Game Hunter 2010 turned out to be a really great game! The graphics were really amazing for the Wii. Everything in the game looked really realistic and colorful. The challenge was great too! You have to see if you can hunt animals without them noticing you in places with rarely any cover such as a desert, and even defend yourself against dangerous predators such as nasty brown bears! The sound's in the game were great too, they are indeed real animal calls. There is also a great variety of hunting weapons that include many rifles (such as the Remington), a crossbow, shotgun, and a magnum pistol. The maps are huge! You travel all around the world from forests to deserts, and hunt animals and hope you won't get lost; and when I mean big maps I really do mean big maps. You'll have to see for yourself. The camera functions most likely work well. The only reason I rated it a 7 is sometimes when you are scoping in on animal, the camera is supposed to zoom in so you can see the animal's critical hit areas (such as the heart and lungs). However sometimes it does not work which makes it harder to kill animals. The statistics of the game are also good such as everything else, you have to get high scores to earn medals in the game such as killing a deer from a certain cover spot and in the heart to get enough points to earn that medal. The multiplayer was fun too, except I thought it could be better. You have to take turns hunting animals for a certain amount of time in a mini-game and whoever gets the highest score wins. However I thought it would be more fun if there was a way where you can do something like co-op hunting with gameplay that's like the singleplayer. However, overall I would give this game a definite 10 out of 10 and I can't wait to buy next year's version!

This game is a HIT!!!

This game is the BOMB!! Never mind that the graphics are great. There are sounds that actually place you in the hunt. Never mind the traditional hunt itself. There is a shooting gallery mode that is just great. There are thirteen different events, birds, ducks, geese, rabbits, mountain lions, bears and leopards, I think? This FPS game is my very first and I’ve been looking for something for the WII system. WII night at my home is dominated by screens ten, eleven and thirteen. I truly believe that this is the best game ever for WII. On these three screens the animals are actually trying to kill and eat you. So firing the shot gun at them is very realistic and you will at times find yourself in the game. People actually jump from and scream at the screen. It’s designed for four players to compete; we’re trying to figure out if all four can shoot at the same time. The shotgun is light and the trigger control is in the correct spot; unlike the zapper. Be sure to turn the volume way up. GREAT GAME!!!!
