Review 1 for Hearts of Iron III
Best WW2 Real Time Grand Strategy to date.
Now like the first and second hearts of iron there are Events,But New to hearts of iron are Decisions a new feature to hearts of iron games which if you've played europa universalis 3 It also had Decisions. Decisions are for example to annex Austria As germany you need to meet these Requirements such as decrease national unity or increase there support for Natinal Socialism. There Are Many Other Features Such As Letting The Ai Take over a theater so say your germany and its 1944 and your fighting for your life as The allies and USSR are closing in on both sides. but your overwhelmed at how much you have to manage, you can have the Ai take over the french Theater so you can focus on the eastern front or vise versa, also you can have the Ai take over diplomacy or poltics Etc. There are also Over 14,000 Provinces! to say the least this game has Alot to make a grand strategy perfect, but i would imagine the game has some major/minor bugs but its nothing to stay weary of cause im confident paradox will continue to update there games like they always do. Im Very Excited To play this game! and it will be very Eventful!

Review 2 for Hearts of Iron III
A pleasant surprise
I'm a huge fan of WWII strategy games, and yet I've really haven't found anything to satisfy me in the way that panzer general series has. I was reluctant to try Hearts of Iron 3 from just the screenshots that were available. I prefer more icon-model based graphics like Panzer General II, not military tile systems. I bought the game and right away there was a very steep learning curve as you control EVERYTHING about your war. Just as an example, for the Intelligence system alone, you can control every relationship with every country as far as what type of spying to do, how much counterespionage to do, plus more backstabbing choices! Initially it felt like there was too much to control. I really did not want to command each individual brigade, division, and corps. However after reading the manual, something I never do, I figured out how to get the AI to control the entire army. That allowed me to perform "History Channel" like attacks with entire Armies performing frontal assaults while I had my fast mechanized moving on the flanks. My favorite part of the game is the Technology sub section. Here's where you can really get involved with how your military will take shape. Do you want medium or heavy armor to move faster than normal with lower armor and guns? Do you want self propelled rocket artillery or will towed be sufficient because you have the support you will need? Do you want to divert resources to obtain the nuclear bomb or will you steal it from the Germans or Americans? All in all I'm very happy with the purchase. The best selling point for the game, in my opinion is the depth. Jump into the deep end or start out in the kiddy pool as I did.

Review 3 for Hearts of Iron III
Best World War 2 Grand Strategy Game Series
If you enjoy grand strategy games, you will love this one. The learning curve is high, but people who play these types of games expect that and want that. If you aren't smart enough, as implied in some of these other previews, buy a shooter and go enjoy yourself. Bad graphics?? Also part of the of the deal. Want great 3D settings? Go play Far Cry 2.

Save your money
I purchased another game made by Paradox called Europa and I am telling you not to buy this one. First of all it takes forever to load and often times it would freeze my computer. Second, the graphics are terrible and this game judging by the preview looks exactly the same. And lastly, it is a bit difficult to learn, the Europa tutorial was not very helpful and I just abandoned the game and have been playing Medieval II Gold. Which I strongly recommend over this title.
