OMG I totally flipped when I found out they were remaking the original Gold and Silver. I was impressed with the design of Ethan, but I have to say it, Lyra is a failure. Despite having to play as an ugly lady who has a Chikorita in the anime, I had fun! Two regions is good, I played longer than usual. I picked Totodile in the beginning, breeding my Typhlosion in Platinum and my sister's Chikorita, so I got all three starters. I defeated Lance with my team of Awesome Blossom, Meganium, Quiflosion, Typhlosion, Crox, Feraligatr, Jolteo,,Jolteon, Aeroblast, Lugia, and Arceus. My Crox is lv 100, as are a few others. I'm trying to get all of the gym leader #s. I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE! THIS! GAME!

great, but...

i've been playing pokemon for a while.... i REALLY got into it when i played diamond. then i played platinum, then this. it's really fun. you don't need me to tell you the main aspects of pokemon. just know that they are all here. again, nintendo is being lazy with the same region, but who cares? big nastalgia and new areas! a great part was the pokeathlon, a collection of fun minigames for your pokemon to participate in. but, really, there is NOTHING new to these games. no new pokemon. nothing changed in the gameplay. same, and more GLITCHY, graphics. the battles are the same, and frankly nintendo, after more than ten years of this system, it's getting a little old. again, all the pokemon look the same (no pokemon customization) and you can't change ANYTHING about your character. its a great game, but really, this is just a very, VERY old house with a fresh coat of paint on, and frankly, i want a new house. give me a holler when nintendo changes things up.

Pokemon Soul Silver: The Review

Pokemon soul silver is a good game. The graphics are a lot better then gold and silver. In fact, this game is mostly based off platinum, so many of the features are carried over. This game does have one new thing: the pokewalker. All it is is a pedometer, which can give you free pokemon and items. Mostly this game is the same as Pokemon Gold and SIlver. The game is still easy, but the main feature is multiplayer. The multiplayer is based off (and compatibitle with) Pokemon Platinum's so you still get all the new features as in platinum, such as the new wifi lobby or the Battle Recorder. The main bad part though is the lack of slots. The slots have been removed from the game corner, and replaced with some lame minesweeper game. It makes getting TMs hard. Some of the songs (like in goldenrod city or cinnibar island) sound terrible, but the soundtrack is mostly good. I would recommend this game to anyone who played pokemon GS. To anyone new to pokemon, though, get Platinum. It has more features then HGSS.

Great game with little drawbacks...

Okay i bought this game the day it came out becuse i was so exicted about it the game was great the storyline was good and not that confusing the controls were simple i also liked the way your pokemon followed you it was nice and challenging but not to hard and if you do lose againts someone alot you can just practice with your pokemon alot the sound was rensonble i mean preaty good for the ds the only drawback is your rival he gets really hard during the end lance is also hard but he wasent for me becuse i traded my lengendary Arces from my platinum to my soul silver so lance was easy and when you beat the game you go to the kanto region and then you verse the gym leaders of ther region so all in all it is a very good game more than youll expect.
