the gameplay is great aswell as the storyline but the game loses its luster after a while it the one bad part is you have to do sort of an olympic event to win an attack to hit a pokemon disguised as a tree which is blocking your way

I got this Game for my 10th birthday. I must say it is one of my favorite Pokemon games, along with Explorers of Sky. The graphics are some of the best. The music could use work though. After beating Johto's Eilete 4, you move to Kanto's gyms and Champion Red. Even after you beat Red there are many things to do. I still play the game even though I beat both Champions (Lance and Red). This game is easy if you pick the right starter. Plus you also get to pick from Charmander, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur, along with Treeko, Torchick, and Mudkip in the Post-Story Kanto reigeon!!!!! Unlike in Black and White, you can name your rival, just like in Diamond/Peral/Platinum Games... This game will amaze and fascinate you.

Awesome!

I love this game! Really, I am a fan of most of the regular Pokemon games, but this one is just amazing. I really like the graphics, and as usual, the music is fun, upbeat, and catchy. The gameplay is no different from any of the other regular Pokemon games, but it is in no way boring or repetetive- everything is fresh, exciting, and fun! I like the fact that there are two regions to explore- it makes the game last longer and gives you more to do. The Pokewalker is neat and all, but i don't use it very often, and honestly, I don't really get the point of it. Fortunately, it is not necesarry to use the Pokewalker to play the game right. Anyway, SoulSilver is a fun game that you can sit down with and play for hours without getting bored. It is, as always, fun to trade with friends and show off your collection to others. It's a great time waster for really long car rides or for when you're at your grandparent's house for a long time :) In conclusion, this is an awesome game for long-time Pokemon fans or for those who are new to the franchise. I promise once you play it you'll be hooked!

BAD for a pokemon game
PostedMarch 21, 2012
The reason why this game sucks is because there's barely anywhere to train, the wild pokemon SUCK, and the gym leaders are way tougher than usual. Plus if u use the action replay u can't fly anymore in kanto. :( So if you're going to buy a more recent pokemon game go with white or pokemon rumble blast.
