The Best there was, the best there is, and the best there ever will be....

This game is simply amazing! For sure its much better than Platinum and the graphics are a lot better too. The characters are great as well as how any pokemon can follow you. Good old' Team Rockets returned with their evil schemes for quick money and pokemon. Now the pokewalker accessory is simply wonderful. I like how you can connect it tour you Soulsilver or Heartgold game using an infrared signal. I was always too lazy to catch pokemon. But now I could catch pokemon using the pokewalker ( which is pocket sized) and train my pokemon by walking around. I also like how you don't have to fight the gym leaders from 5-7 in order. I chose to defeat the 6th gym leader first, then the 5th who was really easy. I recommend this game to those who are long time pokemon fans and those are new to it.

Pokemon SoulSilver
PostedMarch 16, 2010
Well, let me start off by saying that this game is a challenge somewhat but right now i have 18 hours played with 7 badges but in DPP i was at probably 30 hours. I chose Cyndaquil as my starter but i let my friend pick it and its the Pokemon with the easiest challenge/storyline. Now to the review. Challenge 9/10. This game has 3 different start pokemon. Chikorita, Totadile, and Cyndaquil. The challenge of the game depends on what Pokemon you pick to start out with. Personally Totadile would have been the one I picked because its the "Medium" challenge while Cyndaquil is the easiest and Chikorita is the hardest. But, i chose Cyndaquil because DPP were much harder in my opinion and I wanted to see if this game was challenging like those three games were. Controls 10/10. The controls are exactly the same from DPP. I haven't noticed anything different about them at all so they get a 10/10 Interface 9/10. The interface if very different from DPP but, I think it's more high-tec and easier to use but after 6 things on one page it starts a new one so this can be very annoying at times for some people but, not for me. Sound 10/10. The sound is amazing. I love the music playing in the background because its better than just hearing footsteps while your walking or running. But, the music that plays when your pokemon is low health is very annoying but that's why there is a volume control. Character Customization 7/10. The only customization in this game is really just picking the person your going to play as(boy or girl). But, there is one part of the game where you change into a Team Rocket suit so you can try to sneak in a place but i won't spoil it for people who havent bought the game. Graphics/Animation 9/10. These graphics are simply amazing in my opinion. People shouldn't hate a game because of graphics like these because it's not what your used to seeing on a PS3/XBOX360. The graphics are good for a DS game 9/10. Length 9/10. Right now im disapointed at how long it took me to get done with the 7th gym. Im at 18 hours right now and I really thought it would have taken me atleast 5 more hours if not 10. I know that after the game you can travel to the Kanto Region and get those 8 badges and there are also plenty of Legendary Pokemon to catch or defeat. Personally I will catch all of the Legendaries and get them to level 100 since that is what I have done in all other Pokemon games. Storyline 10/10. The storyline is just like that other Pokemon games. You get a starter Pokemon and then start collecting all 8 badges in that current Region and then move on to face the Elite 4 and the Champion of that Region. There is also a Rival that you will battle from time to time during the game. The storyline so far is exactly what I said and it's just going to get better. Bottom line 10/10. This game is awesome in so many ways i can't explain them all. I hope everyone who has read my review will buy this game because it is the best RPG/Adventure game you can buy on the gaming market today. There are plenty of things to keep you busy whether its leveling up your pokemon so you can get them to level 100 which takes a lot of time and patience or battling other trainers via Wi-Fi, this game will keep you busy for a long, long time.

AMAZING

What can I say to sum up this game... AMAZING mabye? This game is the game that pokemon fans (such as myself) have been waiting years for. It is a remake of the popular Gold/Silver versions of the pokemon games. This game has taken everthing that the originals had, and improved it. The graphics have been given a makeover (which looks great), new areas have been added, the music has been enhanced, and even a few new characters and mini games have been added in. I noticed that ever gym has been given vast changes to the inside, which is really cool, the music no longer sounds like lots of beeps and boops, and wi-fi has been thrown in for good measure. The only thing i have even a remote complaint about, though, is the camera is not right above the player, it is at more of an angle, while i didn't find this too much of a problem (infact I think it made the game look graphicly better) I did find that the depth perseption was abit off. I might try to talk to somebody and realise there is a whole space between me and them, but this is not a big problem and should not deter anyone in anyway from purchasing this game. If you are a parent looking for a good game to purchase your child, this is a great one. It is easy to pick up and play, fun, and has nothing that parents should find even remotely offensive. Being a teenager I have plenty of M-rated games littering my room and i can tell you, this game is nothing even remotely close to those games. There is no swearing, suggestive themes, blood, or intense violence (I've been playing these games since I was six). The only thing that you might take note of, though, is that basic reading ability is required (There is no voice, it is all text). If you've never played through the original gold/silver, or are just looking to relive some nastalgic moments, this game is definately for you.
