It's at that moment you are fighting a random trainer and wonder why he has a Bulbasaur and a Charmander. What kind of back alley dealings has Professor Oak has going on... but that aside this is one of the best haldheld games you can play. There is well over 70 hours of gameplay if you just follow the story and not worry about Eggs, mystery, pokedex, legendary peoples or mini games. This game just won't stop. Eventually you will reach Mt. Silver and battle a guy you may have played as with an OUTRAGOUS team of high level pokemon. Add to that that you can have pokemon from all shapes, sizes and generations and you can have over 200 hours of gameplay. Thats right. 200 hours. Thats how many hours I had on the old Silver Version from back in the day. Right now I have about 60 and I'm grinding to take out Sabrina. This game is fantastic. RPG, Pokemon, Video Games. Don't matter. You will like this game. HIGHEST POSSIBLE GRADE OF AWESOMENESS!

This game is so amazing. You get to walk with your Pokemon, battle twice the trainers, and get the Kanto and Hoenn starters. No game is a match for this one. It's both easy and challenging- great for anyone. I chose Chikorita, but I'd reccomend Cyndaquil. It does so much better on the gyms, but Meganium is still awesome. You start in the Johto Region, and you have to beat all the gyms, the Elite Four and the Champion, then you move on to Kanto, battle the gyms there, and battle Red at Mt. Silver. After that, you can get 2 new starters. This game is awesome.
No joke, this has to be my favorite pokemon game ever. I still find my self taking it out and playing it for hours on end. I have gotten most of the pokemon games: blue, yellow, firered, leafgree, ruby, saphire, emerald, diamond, pearl, platnum, soulsilver, heartgold, black and white. Out of all the pokemon games, blue and soul silver are the only two i continusally play after beating it. Great game and so worth it. The pokewalker add for some extra fun too! Just dont lose it!

Pokemon Soul Silver is by far my favortie Pokemon game for the DS. I really enjoyed getting to return to the Johto region, that i used to adventure in as a kid, on my Game Boy color. It was really cool getting to see how all of the city's and towns looked in a modern Pokemon game. The option that let's you walk with any pokemon of your choice was very cool as well. The game is also more enjoyable to me because you get to verture through two region's and collect twice the normal bagdes. I also liked that you could catch pokemon from four diffrent region's, and catch all of the legendary pokemon. So if you go with Soul Silver, you can still catch Ho-Oh. I would highely recomend this game to any Pokemon gamer, or even if you aren't a Pokemon fan, it's still a very fun expirence, and I feel that you will enjoy every second of the game, and won't be able to put it down. It has been out for more than a year now, and i still play it every day, even if I defeet the whole game, I like to restart, and do things a little diffrently. So if your young or old, I feel that this game will be very enjoyable for all. The least you could do is try it. Also if you get the game, the poke walker included it pretty nifity as well, so be sure to check that out. Oh, and one more thing. have fun and good luck.(:
