One of the best Pokemon games.

I loved Pokemon Gold, so when I heard there was going to be a remake, I had to buy this. In general, it's the same game with some additions. The additions definently make up for it. The storyline has a slight change, which keeps you from being bored if you've already played Gold. You now have the option to choose your gender, which is a plus for girls. Your first Pokemon in your party follows you around. The graphics are definently enhanced. The sound has been improved, but if you prefer the GBC sounds then you have the option to change it. You now have the Pokeathalon which is great to do if you have beaten the game, and you can now customize the Safari Zone. A Pokewalker should come with your game. It's a great way to get free items and it's also a great way to get Pokemon that aren't in the Johto/Kanto regions. If you interact with your friend's Pokewalker, you will get an item. To find rare Pokemon you need a lot of watts, which you get from walking. All in all, it's a great/beautiful remake, and one of the best Pokemon games.

this game is great for any pokefan.. but the one thing i wish they would have changed is when your pokemon follows you around. often i have my low level pokemon first in my party to try and grow them levels but i do not always wish to have that certain pokemon following me, id rather i get to have a designated pokemon follow me. Overall this game is a great re-make of the original with tons of exciting add-ons. One thing i find annoying about this game is the difficulty level, it is really easy to beat this game and the pokemon trainers that are in it. I had a level 50 raichu on the 5th badge along with a level 40 beedrill, alakazam and togetic. either im just that good or the pokemon trainers in this game are extremely weak as opposed to those of Red and Blue

I remember the days of the original Gold and Silver versions. They were the best Pokemon games out there. I played Ruby, FireRed, and Pearl, and I still craved more of Gold. When I saw this game was coming out, I automatically went and Pre-Ordered it. The fact that they kept the storyline quite similar to exactly the same is the part I like best of HeartGold; as the story line and unique qualities of the game were what kept making me come back for more. Another pro to HeartGold is that they kept to all the game qualities and then added more to the game to keep it more up to date and more compatible with past versions. This game has blown me away, and it feels like I' m playing an enhanced original of Gold. Classics can still be popular compared to present date games, and this is amazing evidence to show that fact. Next I'm hope for more great evidence with a much better Ruby/Sapphire and/or FireRed/LeafGreen remake. Old is good as New, and it will only keep getting better.
