Pokemon Man 4 Life
Best One Yet
PostedMarch 19, 2010
This game is amazing. First off, I only just bought it yesterday and I'm already on the third gym leader. Now I know some people may not like the faster game play but have no fear the Kanto region is here! Yup thats right, after you beat the Johto region's 8 leaders, you can go and beat the Kanto region's 8 leaders. So really, it does have a great length to it. Second, this may be just me but, I absolutely love the fact you can now walk around with your Pokemon. It almost seems like in all the other games that the actual Pokemon them selves were just side notes to the actual game and it was just all about your dude. But now, you can put your favorite Pokemon in the game with you! Just seeing this feature, made me want to buy this game. Third, Some of the cut scenes are not what you would expect from our 2D friends that work on Pokemon. they really give the game a feel of what it's actually like in the Pokemon world. And finally, the story line. I got to give some props to the level designers that worked on this. They did an outstanding job on making the Pokemon world come to life. Also, the game has all of the legendary Pokemon (well at least most of them).

Amazing but not as amazing as I thought..

Ok, so I thought that this game was going to be awesome, which it is, but I happened to get to the 8th gym leader and my Pokemon were a little to weak to fight her, I couldn't beat her. I looked around for places to train and couldn't find anything, they took out the VS seeker and replaced it with the cell phone, and they removed the shiny radar so that shiny pokemon won't exist in HG and SS unless you have way to much time on your hands. The game length is kind of short because I am up to the 8th gym so 50% and have not played for a few days so I really made it through fast. Once you get stuck do to weak Pokemon you are going to be stuck for a long time. If you are trying to decide what Pokemon game to get, get Heart Gold or Soul Silver, but I think that they were not as good this time around as they were ten years ago.

Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver

Both these games, I suppose, are outstanding. I bought HeartGold the moment the local Gamestop around my area opened up at 9:00 AM, and I was glad I did. The functions are the same as any other Pokemon game, but now, you can get all the Pokemon. This game contains more additional storylines, due to being able to head out to the Kanto region as well. Don't think the game is finished once you finish beating the first 8 Gym Leaders of Johto, because there is another 8 in Kanto, plus added features like the Pokealthon, which is basically an arena where you get to have 3 Pokemon on a team and do events, like Speed rounds, or Power Rounds. Another added feature, is the infamous Battle Frontier, which has the same layout like Pokemon Platinum, except it consists of different Frontier 'Brains'. HeartGold has been an amazing game, and I only got up to the 5th Gym, but every soundtrack, every NPC was designed and composed perfectly to make the ultimate Pokemon game, not to mention the Pokemon following you. Last but not least, the Pokewalker. This is an amazing device that allows you to transfer one Pokemon at a time to the device, but it must be in the PC. The Pokewalker however, knows when you are constantly shaking it, and will go on pause for a few seconds. In the Pokewalker, you obtain Watts (W). 20 steps is 1 watt, and in the Pokewalker itself, 3 watts is to look for an item in 5 bushes, and you get 2 chances, if you find one, you can transfer it into the game. 10 watts equals a chance for you to fight a Pokemon and capture it, thus allowing you to transfer it to the game as well. And finally, some Pokemon are only obtainable through the Pokewalker, and you can access different paths for you to put your Pokemon in depending on how many watts you earn. For example, you can catch a Spiritomb, but I do not want to spoil you guys. For the last words, the best Pokemon and RPG game for the DS! A must buy!

I've been waiting 1 month to get Heartgold and now I have it.From the start I was happy they still have a similar storyline to Pokemon Gold/Silver versions.I recommend this game to any one who likes Pokemon or likes the jhoto region. From the get go I was already amazed by the display screen graphics and the in game graphics. Also, the pokewalker is pretty good itself. But the fact that got me amazed the most is the sound and the fact the game menu is right at your sight instead of having to press x to see the menu. The only fall it has is the fact that most of the gym leaders have disappointing pokemon like a metapod and a kakuna but most of the time when your playing you'll always have fun.All in all Pokemon heartgold/soulsilver doesn't disappoint.
