I had the original PS3 80g hard drive with the piano silk cover and it was pretty good but when I watched Passion of the Christ on the slim the BlueRay looked even better on my tv and my tv wasn't even an LCD TV it was a normal box shaped tv and u don't even need any thing too expensive to have good picture and sound quality because this does everything for you. It has more space, has a built in wi-fi, and it looks nice in person over all I would say this game counsel is the best thing world in my eyes this black piece of machinery should go down in history. The video game exclusives are pretty good too. Metal Gear Solid, War Hawk, Killzone, Uncharted, Little Big Planet, Ventral Fighter, Motor Storm, and a lot of other games coming out soon for the PS3 will totally animate Halo and Left 4 Dead in fact the PS3 is pretty much mimicking the XBOX360. Get this system it is worth your money also it is a computer you can store music and photo's also hook up your camera and record in 1080hp in high quality but that's not all the online is free and so is the internet. So yea get this thing, it's hip, it's now, it's the best thing Japan has ever made for us and for that I say God bless Sony for all the things they have made for mankind.

The best system ever great quality it has blu ray,free online(deticated online),great games hdmi(1080p) good offers 2 usbs,and great design black machine i recommended for the great gamers out their.

So about a week ago I bought my PS3 and it is AMAZING! Not only does it play video games, but Blu-Ray, music, video, and displays pictures! I also got Uncharted 2 with it and lemme tell ya.... The grapics are incredible. I was blown away at the detail of the water and just everything. The new PlayStation 3 Slim is well worth the money and will bring hours and hours of enjoyment. It's way smaller the the previous model PS3 and uses less energy. You can also stream Netflix with it too. There are so many great things about the PlayStation 3, I can't even begin to tell you all of them. My friend bought an Xbox 360 about a month before I bought my PS3 and in my opinion.... The PS3 blows the Xbox 360 out of the water. It is way more capable of doing bigger and better things. Do yourself a favor and go buy the PS3.

the xbox 360 is an over all better console and plus Sony only helped make a little bit of blu ray and they don't even own the disc structure, panasonic does so if panasonic wanted to change something they could if they wanted to and Sony cant do anything about it, compared to the Xbox, Microsoft owns all of it so if they want to make a change they can anytime they want

Great console, but not for everyone

I own both the PS3 slim and the old Xbox 360, and I gotta admit I love my PS3. The PS3 has great graphics and sound (though still most games dont run at true 1080p), has the blue ray player,has wireless, can connect to your pc wirelessly and stream movies and even transfer them onto the PS3,has great exclusives, and best of all the online is free. But because the online service is free, it is not as good as xbox live. The online store is really not that great and lacks a lot of great titles and is just not as good as xbox live market place, home is just boring and you probably wont ever play it, there is no cross game chat (some people dont care, but believe me, its really helpful for even playing the same game), and the online options, settings, etc are not as good as xbox live gold. Playing third party games on psn is really bad compared to the xbox live (MW2 on PSN will lag more, and will kick you out of games A LOT) .But first party games are flawless. Xbox live is a more social experience, and is better overall. Thats the biggest difference for any gamer: if youre not a "hardcore"/competitive gamer, you cant go wrong with the PS3, but if you are more of a "hardcore"/competitive gamer, you wont be very happy with the PS3. But also, buy the console that most of your friends have, you wont go wrong that way.....
