I've had my Xbox for over five years now. It's gotten the red ring of death a few times actually, but I've just ignored it and it never bothered me again. Lately the disk tray wouldn't open and I had to press the eject button three or four times before it would. Then it stopped reading the disks. At first I though it was the game, but when I tried all my games I got the same result. Now I've decided I needed to by a new, cheap Xbox but I'm disappointed that this has been out of stock for months now. :(

Starting off, I love my Xbox 360. I received my first one about 6 months after they came out. It was a used one that belonged to my boss at the time, he gave me a deal I couldnt pass up. Served me well for a long while. Then, it happened. The red rings of death. Sent it in, had it repaired, lasted for about a year. Then, BAM. Red rings of death again. Outside of my warranty. So I bought a brand new one. Since I got the new one I have got the RROD twice and both times Microsoft covered it under the warranty. I have now had that unit for over 5 years and it is still chuggin'. For about the past year the drive doesnt like to read certain discs, incuding brand new ones, and you have to eject and re-eject-and re-eject and it finally works depending on the game within 2 to 10 or 12 minutes. This console certainly has the best selection of quality games. Great HD graphics, awesome 5.1 surround sound. Never had any problems save for the RROD multiple times (again, Microsoft fixed it at no charge to me, paid for shipping, materials, etc.) and the cd drive not wanting to read games all the time. Just DO NOT stand the unit up on its side like in all the pictures, you will run into many disc-reading problems just from that. Make sure your unit has plenty of space around it to allow for airflow. Oh, and when turned on, it sounds like an airplane taking off. Way louder than any computer I've heard. Still, the best system on the market. For $99, this is a good buy, just get the ext warranty. If you have the cash, go ahead and spring for the 250GB Black Xbox 360.

i had an xbox for 2 years and had no problems exept for with the controllers.the controllers get messed up and hard to use like buttons sticking or accidently dropping and a peice getting brok and sometimes hard to replace.but xbox 360 has very good graphics like exaple-cod mw 1-2-3 wich is a army game.it mainly has good online multiplayer and conection.the only bad problem online is modders, they mod by having rapid fire and all that junk.and i do not recomend the wired glowing controllers.i had one this past year and got messed up so fast i will never get it again.wireless controlloers are very good.
