More problems...
PostedNovember 22, 2010
I just returned my other black ops controller for another one and this one has defects too... not as bad this time but still! one of the led's in the guide button isnt working and it feels like the sensitivity when you look up or down is way different and harder to control.... cheaply made controller. underside buttons dont work well unless you change the way you hold your controller... very uncomfortable. Get if your a collector. If your not a collector dont waste your hard earned cash! Oh and also the thumbsticks are slippery.

At first you might feel the triggers a little stiff but you will get use to it and it reacts faster when you press it. The back buttons are a little hard to get use to but you will get the hang of it when you figure out button you want it to replace. Although it has a cord its a good thing because if it needed batteries you would need allot of money for all the juice it takes up.

In comparison to the MW2 version, the shoulder buttons on the CODBO works flawlessly- it registers with no lag/ a bit springy and not clicky or mushy- may turn looser over time perhaps. Just like the XBOX 360 controller, the size and feel of the buttons work well with medium size hands. The location of the action button is spot on but could use a bit of depth, it feels shallow and not thick enough for a better tactile feel when pressed and held down. The analog sticks moves like the original 360 controllers but does not have the rubbery texture (remedied by using the Grip-Its- a worthy add on) Over all, the controller looks and feel great for the money. I don't mind the cord since I don't have to worry about running out of juice ever. I just hope the braided cord does not fray over time (it's not a plastic braid- feels like fabric). I was hoping to get the Onza as it looked like a better made controller but I couldn't wait any longer. I don't have buyers remorse with this controller like I did with the MW2 version (which I returned promptly) I have not tried the mic performance yet- hoping it's not garbage. Only time will tell if the controller holds up over time - until then I'm happy with the purchase.
