I have been playing Madden games since i can remember. And i have slowly watched them all get worse and worse each year. Madden 07 i loved, 08 was alright 09 had serious problems, 10 was the same as 09 and now Madden 11. What can i say about it besides it being total Trash. They say, "Simpler, quicker, deeper" I say, "Dumber, childish, and weak. There is nothing going on in the background of this game. The stadiums aren't full but the noise is always the same. The game play is just awful, clunky controls, controls that just dont make any sense, you have no time to adjust the line of scrimmage on offense or defense. This game is just awful, plain and simple. The play calling stinks. Yeah sure you can create a game plan and that consists of a 5 star system. You pick all the simple plays by ranking 1 to 5. Interceptions are as easy as ever and cheaters can just bomb the ball, leap in the air and catch it some how. And lastly the Servers for Madden are still total trash. I have a 50 mbps Internet service and i still cant play a smooth game, with anyone. Save your money for the next one if you dare, because to me this was just a thrown together game to test the waters with all the new junk they added. And it failed. If you want a good football experience, then get NCAA11. And my most hated part of this game is the stupid advertisements, commercials and commentary. They say the most exciting voice in football but its just over the top. They have Old spice red zone reports, Doritos crunch time play of the game, Verizon junk, it just never stops! Then the commentator says stupid stuff like. Rumble young man Rumble, DA Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na TOUCH DOWN! Its the same repetitive junk all game long. Long story short. I tried playing this again and then i built a stack of sports games to get rid of. except NHL11 and NCAA11 Madden 11 is just pure trash.
They finally got the running game right on this one! Run blocking and movement allows for a realistic experience. Quarterback movement and pass rushing has also been highly improved. The only thing I would have changed is the fact that when you upload a draft class it don't put many juniors on the list. Other than that this game is great for all ages.
don't get me wrong i love Madden as much as the next person. but personally i would rather play Madden 10. it just seems to flow better. the graphics didn't really gain that much from ten.
