This is the first review I have ever written. I am only writing this one to warn people about the game freezing. I have returned one game thinking it was the game. I also returned a brand new system thinking it was the system. It was not and cost me my extended warranty at gamestop, I was not willing to pay another $20.00 for another one. I have had the game now several months and it freezes at different times and locations in the game play. It is very frustrating as I love harvest moon and this game is wonderful otherwise. Just be aware that the game freezes up or is it just the two I have gotten hold of.

I've run into the same problem with newer games (Ex: Lord of Arcana) if there's a data install option (most likely in the options tab on the main menu) do that and the game should stop freezing and run faster.

the best harvest moon

in general, all harvest moon games are good. the best are a wonderful life and friends of mineral town. but this outranks them all. to my perspective on the gameplay and graphics, they are both solid and wonderful. most of them would give this an outstanding rating. truth be told, this is a replica of both friends of mineral town and a wonderful life put together, creating a distinct perfection within itself. most would say that this is a wonderful thought out game. when i first saw the game, i was dumbfounded by the way it looked. oh, it is everything that any harvest moon game can deliver. in truth, i wanted them to make a "normal" harvest moon, not anything that has only the characteristics of it. i think they answered my prayers when harvest moon: hero of leaf valley was born. thank you, natsume, for making the greatest harvest moons ever.

I recently bought this game and I have to say, it's excellent. The storyline is wonderful, and very well organized. The graphics are very good as well. I love the character designs, and scenery. There is so much you can do in this game. I'm a big Harvest Moon fan, and this is the best one I've played so far. Also, I love the sounds in this game. Everything fits so perfectly, like, the music. I can never get tired of the music in this game. It's so beautiful, and relaxing. The other sounds are good too. For example, I love the sounds of all the animals. I also love the personalities all the characters in this game have. Every character has a different personality from anyone else. When you befriend the characters they say different things depending on how good of a friend you are to them. So overall, I love this game, and would recommend it to many people.

After a much awaited wait the brand new Harvest moon game from the series is out. There has been two releases of harvest moon onto the playstation portable system. The First been harvest moon: boy & girl(a great remake from a classic in which you basically choose everything in the storyline, including your gender!) and the other being Harvest moon: A futuristic harvest moon, which was not liked by many fans since the limitation of being a robot took out many liked features. Though with this new title from natsume, many fans will once again be able to take their favorite RPG style farm game with them. The story line is very similar to the other harvest moons as in the fact that your trying to save the land from being destroyed. This harvest moon does have certain key figures such as the new way to obtain man's best friend and the different side quest which you have to take in order to receive important materials needed to better your farm and thus saving the land you have inherited. This is a must play for any harvest moon fan and farmville fan.
