Took a little longer than I expected for it snap on, wasn't that hard though. After using it for 25 minutes, my ps3 was already hot. It heated up faster than it would without the intercooler. If anything it's a heater, not a cooler. Your better just putting a fan by it to blow the hot air away from the ps3.

please if you like your ps3 and dont want to loose all your hard work, DO NOT USE THIS THING!!!!! i bought this and thought that it would work, the minute i used it and put it on my ps3 and turned it on my ps3 got wrecked. i called customer service and they apologized saying that id have to restart my system and meaning restart the whole system so if i didint restart the whole system i could never use that ps3 again and i was a sad man after that :( so please save your money and your memory.

I waste my money buying this "cooling" . I used it and my PS3 gets warm. And in 30 minutes it got hot. So DON'T BUY IT!!
i had this for a week and all the sudden fans made very loud sounds when ps3 turned on do not buy this item

Was a little tricky to snap on but, it works just like it says. Ive had for 3 months now and not had a single problem. That includes the problems others here have listed. Havent had any overheating problems since installed. Only thing I dont like is the high/low switch can be hard to access in tight spots. Ive used this for nights on end with high graphic games, online gaming, and blue rays. Not ONE problem.

Ok, as it turns out, just as I say mine is working perfect, literally, the next day what happens? ERRRCCCHHHHHH. But I found a solution.
I simply blew it out with an air compressor which spun the fan much faster than it could ever turn itself and this somehow rebalanced them and now runs just like new. Wierd.
What the problem is, the fans have very poor support (bushings/bearings) which become unbalanced and the noise you hear is the fan blades vibrating. The cooler has a chip inside which will try to correct this causing a rrreeerrrr, rrrreeeerrrr, rrreeerrrr, type sound.
If you buy this just beware this is a known problem with these but a simple fix too. Check reviews on Google. Almost everyone, same thing.
