The game interface is quite nice itself as well as the music. Good old japanese music and what's better it has the japanese comic style to it. You got another RPG in your hands, which means another turn-based rpg with stuff such as: levels, dungeons, and equipment. Graphics are fantastic, but most of everything is 2D as opposed to the popular 3D. However the game only has the 3D part during the dungeon quests. In general this is only another typical fun RPG game that you would expect anywhere else, only more cute. Becareful as you'll spend hours reading texts instead of having actual gameplay when you start out. Storyline is very intriguing but I won't spoil anything, so just go buy Trinity Universe and find out for yourself!

I picked up this game because I like the idea of getting to play a game where your favorite anime character are all in one game. Particularly the Disgaea characters I had an interest in as I am a big fan of the series. I knew it to be a dungeon crawler game, and I have liked a few of such games in the past. Though it seems to me that between the overly lengthy ridiculous story telling and grindy dungeon crawling. The game gets boring a little too quick.
One of the big problems I had with Trinity Universe is the feeling of having movement restricted. You can only have free movement in dungeons, and everywhere else is like a glorified menu interface. To get anywhere while outside of a dungeon you simply select where to go. When traveling to a shop, you simply select the shop option from the overview. The same is true with the Inn, Managraphic store, and everything else. You can only move around in dungeons, everywhere else is just a menu option. I would have liked to have moved around a town, had people to talk to, and be immersed in a lively community. However, immersion is left largely to the long drawn out story line, and the dungeon crawling. I believe this was a bad move, but was probably cost effective for the developers.
Another problem I had with Trinity Universe is that the battle system felt a bit too repetitious. Basic attacks can be chained together to form combos, and you can chain additional combos with other party members. This might seem cool at first, and it is, but it does get stale very quickly as there is little strategy involved in the battle system outside of the quick attack, heavy attack, or magic attack. Some enemies are weak to one of these three different kinds of attacks and choosing combos based on such attacks are an easy to understand concept and gets really old, very quickly. Though if you want a simple watered down combat system for your dungeon crawler, then maybe this will work for you.
The instructional tutorial which spans three chapters is incredibly annoying and irritating I actually found myself getting annoyed quite frequently whenever the tutorial girl came on the screen. As it interrupts the flow of the game with it's ever irritating ringing noise she makes every time she calls you, and believe me she will call you, a lot. After the tutorial though, the game play itself doesn't change, it's repetitive.
The story itself also feels uninspired and lack luster. If anime could be stereotyped, you would see every instance of it in this game. From predictable characters, to over done cutesy acting. There are a number of instances where characters routinely break the 4th wall, which seems unnecessary and contrived. The story itself is verging on being painful to watch. If you are playing Rizalaea you will get to the part where you get the party member Flonne. This is one point in the game where the cutesy acting is extremely overdone, and I had a strong urge to just shut the game down. Even in battle the cutesy voices are grating on the ears, sweet at first, but that sugar turns to salt very quickly.
These are of course my own experiences with this game, and I trust not everyone will feel the same way. There is more to this game than what I have written down. The graphics are very pleasing, and at times the story feels like an actual anime with a decent amount of humor. Much of the music in the game was pretty okay to listen to, with only a few parts feeling like it was stock music. Though for me, in my eyes, this couldn't save the game. I'll keep it around though if I feel like playing a shiny dungeon crawler, and I did put effort into playing this game.
One more thing, having good and bad endings are lame. Trinity Universe has them.

Sylveria
Trinity Universe is another NIS/Gust/Idea Factory crossover game, similar in theme to Cross Edge but with a more traditional RPG style. The game features a handful of colorful original characters spread over two distinct stories which merge together upon completion of both; as well as some fan favorites such as Etna and Flonne from the Disgaea series. The combat is turned based JRPG-style with an integration of the Xenogears/Legia style of linking together button presses to create combos and stronger attacks. The story, in typical Nippon Ichi style, is humorous and expansive. There is a very heavy emphasis on dungeon crawling, which is the core of the game, and item collection for the synthesis system, which has been made considerably more streamlined from many other games from these publishers that feature a synthesis or alchemy system. The art style is heavily anime influenced which may cause the game to look dated.. However, the quality of the graphics (very very smooth and highly detailed) shows what the PS3 can do to make a beautiful anime style game. Trinity Universe is strongly recommended for fans of Nippon Ichi Software as well as anyone who wants a traditional JRPG on a new generation console.

Trinity Universe is arguably the best PS3 exclusive RPG on the system aside from Valkyria Chronicles. The game really turns conventional turn based JRPG mechanics on their head while still feeling familiar and comfortable no matter what a gamer’s experience level is with this genre. Best of all it boasts a light hearted and amazingly enjoyable story and easily the best cast of characters in a game I’ve played this year. I honestly can’t think of anything negative to say about the game, there’s also an enormous amount of DLC for the game, you won’t regret it.

Review 5 for Trinity Universe
I'm betting this game will either be super annoying or super hilarious.

Sorrows Neptune
The story for this game and the characters seem a bit too hyper (if you know what I mean), and I listened to some of the sample voice acting for the characters and the only one I actually liked was Prinnies. All of the other ones sounded too annoying. But with all of that aside the game seems like one I might actually enjoy. I also heard that the game won't take itself too seriously, which would make up for anything bad with the story and characters. I'll wait until some reviews for the game (specifically one from IGN) is written before I decide if I'll get it or not.

From the reviews in Game Informer, it looks and supposed to play a lot like agarest war. Now Agarest war wasn't too bad of a game if not for its story and many endings and challenges. I'm hoping this game will be better then Agarest War.
