the first game i played on my ps3 was call of duty 4 i thought that was the best game and when i heard about mw2 i laughed bc i thought cod4 cant get any better!!then i got mw2 and i loved it idc what everyone says but i thought it was the best game and i heard about black ops and i said how can they make mw2 any better !!whats the point of bying black ops!! so i bought it and i am amazed i dont know how they keep making these call of duty games better and better each time its just amazing!!! the wager matches are so fun!! i play them on the weekends after i have all my money during the week!! the gun customization is just flat out rediculuos i put my emblem and clan tag on it and a nice red camo on the famas and i love it!!!!! as for equipment i use the camera spike when i want killstreaks i set it up by a doorway camp in that room and i will see if anyones coming!!this game is just>>>>>>>i love it im gonna go play now thank u guys!! o ya and there are interactive maps like closing doors and a rocket taking off its really fun !!!! c ya hope u liked this review

its fun i played it on wii its good but thay need to work on the physics need work and so do,s online. the maps are fun but need more color and its fun but needs worlk and its a little rushed over all. but fun. i hope the nesxt one is better. i like the Grands and fltroers. and some of the maps. i hope thay add more faes to the movie mint and polish it up and make it a lot of fun with MW3 Its not my favert but it fun and i can see u peaple like it.

Got rid of my 360 slim because i had 360 forever and wanted a ps3 first game i bought was this and the first thing I noticed was the bad graphics and the really bad bullet lag. Even on combat training by myself it was laggy. I still play this but if i still had my 360 i would be playing on that. As far as uncharted i hated everyone and i especially hated the new beta....blah

Stop selling people a dream. Most people buy this for the online experience. One word, "Horrid." This game has the worst online experience of the series. They constantly release patch updates that have fixed nothing. The game has been out maybe just a month and we're already on patch# 1.05 and it's still jacked up.
As far as the storyline, it's definitely below the last 3 COD games. I say rent it if you can before buying. definitely worse than COD4

This games is impressive, great campaign,multiplayer and co-op modes two thumbs up for zombies (dead ops rocks!!) co-op online for multiplayer, and combat training (which helps if you suck) and zombies. the weapons are very cool like the crossbow. and you get to change your red dot color and there is other cool attachments. I reccomend this for veterans of mw2 but this is 5 times better than mw2 BOO QUICKSCOPERS

In a general overview of Call of Duty: Black Ops, I would say that this game is pretty satifactory. The only problems I really have with this game is that the campaign was very confusing to me. Also, most of the multiplayer maps are horrible. Even though there are some pretty stupid flaws in the game, Black Ops has some really cool features such as the Zombies game mode. Zombies (for the first time playing it) has two base maps, Five and Kino Der Toten. Now, you can buy new maps off of the Playstation Store. The only bad thing about Zombies is that you do eventually get bored playing the same maps. Obviously, you can fix this problem by bying new maps. So, in general, I do like Black Ops, but I'm in LOVE with the Modern Warfare series!!!

The campaign is much better than MW2's campaign, not that I have anything against MW2's campaign because I understand they were trying to progress a story already in progress. But if you compare all of the Modern Warfare campaigns versus Black Op's campaign, the Black Op's campaign is much better. It's well thought out and feels like they actually put some care and effort into making the story shine. Modern Warfare doesn't put deep emphasis into its characters as much as the protagonist you play in Black Ops. It actually feels like you understand what Alex Mason is going through. Also, there's a twist at the end that you'd somewhat expect, if you watch a fair share of mystery/suspense movies like I do. Black Ops also has its fair share of action set pieces, much more so than Modern Warfare 2, and better ones. With the exception of the airport level on Modern Warfare 2, nothing else really stood out. In Black Ops, I found myself immersed from one set piece to another, sneaking past multiple terrain, and even commanding my units down at the bottom from a Blackbird like a mini strategy game (my favorite sequence)! The gun selection is what you'd expect from Call of Duty, lots of guns to choose from. Well, enough about the campaign, I'll let you figure the rest out by yourself. Just know that, in my opinion, the campaign is much better than Modern Warfare 2 & 3. Well, now for the multiplayer, it's definitively better than MW2, by far. Just the amount of features it offers in comparison, MW2 doesn't hold a candle. The only thing I found MW2 had won over Black Ops is the maps. Black Ops disc based maps (I haven't played any DLC maps) are close to medium range maps. Sniping is a bit difficult if you're not experienced enough. If you're deciding which game is best to snipe on, get MW2 or MW3. However, the last time I played MW2, I wanted to break the disc because of all the noobtubers. Run around a corner, get noobtubed. Run into a building, get noobtubed. Run out in the open, get noobtubed. Spawn, get noobtubed. It made playing unbearable and getting a killstreak was difficult. Because of all the noobtubers, people like to stay and camp. While this is okay, once in a while, it's really demoralizing if the whole team you're facing against are camping with noobtubes. Black Ops fixes that by only giving noobtubers ammo from scavenger ONLY if the player that died also was using a noobtube. In MW2, scavenger gives ammo for noobtubers no matter what. Black Ops depends on a money system to buy your weapons, upgrades, perks, & killstreaks. I thought this was a refreshing change from the previous installments, which focused on a level up system. Not to say leveling, up doesn't get you anything in Black Ops, it still does, but more for the smaller things. There are a lot more features Black Ops has compared to MW2 but I can't think of them right now. The best thing in my opinion, however, is that in Black Ops, it records every game you play up until 100 games (I think), so that anyone can view them. If you have a game that you did particularly well in, you can put it in your Top 6. This alone is the shining feature of Black Ops because not only it's the first of its kind to do that, it does it well. On a side note, they brought back the one hit kill dogs for one of the top killstreaks, so if you hated them in World at War, you'll hate them in this one too (although they don't call in dogs as frequent because there's many other killstreaks to choose from). You can watch how other players play, where they like to camp at, what guns they like to use, and if they're cheating or not (I've had a person say that I was because I had 42/7 or something, I was like "Look at my replays, noob!"). However, compared to MW3, it has slightly less features. Only because MW3 has 2 sets of "killstreaks", which are regular killstreaks, and deathstreaks. Also on MW3, you can't view any of the games other people have played! Only the top 10 they handpicked. Don't believe what other people say, about Black Ops being a lesser game, I've played ALL of the Call of Dutys, and I can say for absolute certainty, this one is the best. Besides, if you're a huge zombie fan like I am, you'll be happy to know they brought back the zombies in this one too, with 3 disc based maps, and with a surprising touch of comedy :). If you end up getting this game, check out my videos, my PSN is CrotchBlaster. Yeah, I know it's lame, but whatever :D

i got the game after it has been out for a while i was never a big call of duty fan in till call of duty world at war. i thought ok there is a new game out and i would like to try it and i figured it would be like the rest and i was suprised that the game was better then world at war i loved the game and the zombies was better then it was in world at war grantit that it was harder but u get a team of friends and play its great the only problem i had was at the very last mission i got half way through and it told me i had to many bones so otherwise great i will get it agian and i will enjoy every minute

ya know, for every great game there is always the haters. this game has everything: lasting appeal, good multiplayer, mind blowing campaign (on hardest setting) good dlc, and not to mention zombies! yes, it has downfall of some overpowered guns, but otherwise treyarch has a good seller on their hands. to this day i still play this game, and its perfect when your with a friend, splitscreen multiplayer and zombies, its just good. i reccomend this game to anyone who enjoys a good shooter.

The title says it all!
This game has an amazing campaign.
Zombies is a very fun addicting part of Black Ops especially if you have the map packs like rezerection. the multiplayer is amasing with great maps like Nuketown,Firing range,Summit it has small maps and decently large maps.

When I got this game, (which was about a year ago) I was so excited about it. This game may be old, but is shirley not outdated. Treyarch did a good, wait, what am I saying? Great job for improving this game since World at War. This is my second review on Black ops because the first one was so short and not specific. Graphics not the best, bust sound was bad. Some of the guns were a little over powered. For example, the Spas 12. One more thing. There is a guy named Iniquity on YouTube who raps about zombies. So check him out if your interested. Zombies is probably the best sidegame ever! Buy this game, but don't play the multi-player, cause it is not good. At all.

The big thing is the online multiplayer. You have to be realy good at it to play. The zombie mode is great too. But sometimes has problems loading. Thats all I have.

Let me start off by saying this game ruined my school life, it made my grades lowered from a 80 to a 67!!! I was that into it. Black Ops is definitely one of the best Call Of Duty games ever made.
