Only for Some People

Like all the past Nintendo consoles, the Wii is a fun, creative and cute console with some of the best game series like "MARIO!", "Zelda", "Metroid", "Kirby", Pokemon" etc. In my opinion this console has the funnest games EVER!. There is only one thing wrong with it, there is not that many shooters and car games and, well its not the ideal console for hardcore gamers. This console is specifically for casual gamers, families, and people who actually want to have fun. I own an Xbox 360 and Wii and i play wii more than Xbox, WII games are cheaper and funner. Now i love Modern Warfare, Halo, and other games, but i LOVE MARIO, ZELDA AND POKEMON even more. So my point is this is for people who like to have fun and active people.

I completely agree! I love the Wii and it's cuteness.
And there are some games that have action and blood in them. Monster Hunter Tri is amazing.
I love the Wii. Whenever I want to relax I play Animal Crossing or Harvest Moon, Tree of Tranquility. But when I want to play an intense shooter game I go for the Xbox 360. They are just different.

Depends on what you want

The Wii all depends on what you're looking for. The Wii is for hardcore Nintendo fans, family fun, and games that are just fun! If you're looking for an epic long RPG, then you should look towards the PS3. The Wii's integration of the wiimote for games is uncomparable. The Apps for the are nice and the cutesy mii's don't hurt the appeal of the wii either. Sure, the graphics for the games aren't all that great, but that isn't the point of the Wii. It's to keep you entertained with fun and cute games.

WII is okay with me
onNovember 10, 2011
The WII is fantastic for entertaining a group of people, or personal low key recreational gaming. And on a side note; people, check you're spelling before you post, geez.

I got the wii a year ago and I almost never touch it, There are few games for older kids and adults, I would recomend the ps3 or the xbox for anybody over 13, this consule is just childish, Other then that it runs fine.

Really?

Is it because of the graphics because thats all you low-experienced gamers talk about is graphics. And what controls too? BUy the Classic Controller Pro or the Older one they actually thought about the lazy people.

The Truth.

The fact is, the Wii is a good console, despite what anyone tells you. Yes, it is in fact geared towards a younger audience, but it doesn't have to all be blood, gore and violence to be a good game. Funny thing is, the Wii has cutesy and childlike games, as well as gritty horror and violence games. The balance is there, it's just most of today's gamers want something generic and "epic", which you're not going to find a lot of here. What you will find, is some fun games and a good system.
Allow me to say, the Wii is definitely not for everyone. It's great for kids and families, but "core" gamers might feel a little left out. There's some good games that are of Nintendo caliber: Mario Kart, Mario Bros. Wii, Metroid Other M, Zelda Twilight Princess, etc. But I notice a lot of the Wii's titles are mini-game styled; in that respect it's more for families or kids who are just looking to play around. So, like I said earlier, those looking for more challenging or serious titles on the Wii will be disappointed. However, with the addition of the Virtual Console, you can take a nostalgia trip and play some old games that are certainly challenging.
The Pros about the Wii:
Decent spread of games, the Virtual Console, innovative control, plays well for the whole family, physically and figuratively sturdy console, built in wireless, backwards compatible to Gamecube games, good control during gameplay and in menu screens.
The Cons:
Mild lack of "core" games, sometimes irritating control bugs, online play can be pretty bad with the exception of some games.
What I like about the Wii is that its "shortcomings" are few and can be easily circumvented. Personally, I'd recommend this to Nintendo fans and families in need of a console that everyone can enjoy.
