After reading the timeline that was released for Homefront I was very intrigued but after buying the game (and subsequently beating it in less than five hours) I was quite disappointed.
So, where to start? The graphics were cartoonish at best. I was expecting something a little more refined considering the standards that have been set lately in other FPS games. The controls were shaky but at least familiar.
The biggest issue, in the reviewers own humble opinion, was the story line. The dialog was cheesy and made it hard for me to take any of the NPC's seriously. I walked away from the game not fully understanding what the role of the main character (Spoiler: Really? Just to pilot a helicopter?). With the build up that came with the game I had high hopes. Maybe my expectations were to high. Maybe I have become jaded and spoiled with other FPS's.
Oh and what happened to the the online play?! After 45 minutes of waiting in a lobby, I gave up on online play.
I would say, overall, that the game is worth a play through only if you can borrow the game from a friend. I would highly recommend NOT spending money on this game.

the game has good grapihcs.But it takes forever for a multiplayer match to start.Not as good as black ops but its still a pretty good game to play.I also think that its like just cause 2 because you can buy ammo and vechicals any time you want.
at first i thought this game was bad, but then i realized the difference between the guns and the controls from black ops. Homefront i think is much better than black ops, because first the guns are more controlled when shooting. the hit detection is awesome and when you have 1 bar for connectivity you play as if you have 4 or 5 bars on black ops for connectivity. this game is very good and i am recommending this game to anyone who wants a fair and decent game. and also this is a very good change from black ops.

The story mode for this game is OK. The Korean's invading works as long as you dont think too far into it. But by the time you really get into the story it's over. I LOVED the multiplayer when I first got the game but regardless of what you may have heard the problems persist. I waited 10 minutes to get a game online going and when it did start the lag was horrible. Now that the story mode is over (too quickly) and I cant play online...whats a gamer to do but run back to the store and get the best trade in I can get?

This game is amazing, the campaign is great and so is the multipalyer but there is only one problem the campaign is to short and the multiplayer hardly works....Gamespy only made there multitplayer compadable for 200,000 players and on the release date 500,000 or more players try to access the multiplayer and it crashed. to this date me and a party of friends can not get in the same game lobby and there are constant freezzzes that make you turn off your system and you can not access the online learderboards but when and if you get in to a game it is amazing you will love it. But in my mind over all the game was a FAIL not enough thought put in the multiplayer. save your self the headaches and dont buy this game!
