Homefront is a good game to get if you like Red Dawn, the game play is good, but it can be a pain. The story is great, the game play is ok. the graphics are excellent. If you are a newby at first person shooter don't get this game, because I am a vetern at first person shooter. It was an up hill battle for me. but all and all it was a good game.

This game is perfect for: casual gamers
I had no idea what this game was when I first turned it on at a friends place, and right from the getgo I knew I was in for a treat. The opening scene is all action and really pulls you into a scenario that is both current, and very real when it comes to real world events. From there the story builds well and adds itself into the gameplay aspects flawlessly. Lots of excitement and gadgets to play with. I enjoyed having to balance my ammo and selecting the right weapons to use. The campaign does not fall under the easy category, but is playable for all especially since it isn't too long. Multiplayer is the wide open play field and vehicle style mixed with the more fast paced arena style FPS gameplay as others have mentioned. You really have to work on leveling up your equipment and getting it to a spot you like to work well. Be prepared you will need a "online pass" that comes with the game new if you want to play without a level cap or any limitations. All in all, I got a few hours of online play in...but for some reasons the physics engine seemed to be a bit lacking compared to the comp and ultimately, I retired this one after a week or two. Great game to pick up and play through.

I don't how this got bad reviews! This game Is so much better than COD. It has 32 person multiplayer and a campaign that actually makes sense! COD is a really fun series but after a while it gets old.

This game is perfect for: casual gamers
I bought this game when it came out. The campaign was exciting but, short. The multiplayer was awesome however, the developer (who I believe has closed it's door) didn't support it enough. They never patched the game or fixed minor hit detection issues. Hopefully Homefront 2 will be a success.

This game is perfect for: hardcore gamers
I got this game not too long after it came out and it was a waste of my time. I beat the game in less than 3 hours and I was just left sitting there looking blank at my TV screen wondering what just happened. The game has really sad and messed up parts in it too. I just don`t like it. Online was a waste too. I took this game back the same day I got it.

ok let's start with the campaign....... it actually was pretty good!! BUT only 7 missions??? come on:/ other than the shortness of it, the campaign has a good story & is worth completing when you wanna kill some time!! The multiplayer isn't bad either! Until you learn the maps of course it can be frustrating, but be patient you'll get it! HONESTLY this game is just a good substitution for when you don't feel like playing COD or battlefield. The controls are literally identical to COD. So when you feel like switching it up, pop this game in!! And for only 20$??? YES A MUST BUY

This game deserves a much higher rating than a 6. Around a 8-9 sounds about right. I didn't buy Homefront for the single player which is most likely why im giving this such a high review. Multiplayer is great, 32 person online with vehicles is like no other game on console.(Yes, i think Homefront is better than BF3) The customization is good and gameplay is just pure good fun. Worth $60, and is now $20. A must have if you want it for multiplayer.

Homefront is still a great game to play online. The Battle point system is the most unique and most fun thing to use online. It rewards the player for doing good in a match with vehicles and abilities. Graphics aren't bad but aren't great. Campaign was the biggest let down, it is too short and lacks story. Overall it is worth $20, still a fun game to back every now and then.
