Kinect adventures is really fun and so is kinect in genral. Kinect adventures is a little short and does not have alot of gameplay but still great for the family!

My (8-12 y.o.) siblings just happened to get this for Christmas and oh boy is it fun! The Kinect technology is tricky to figure out at first but once you get the hang of it you will have loads of fun. It has a dodgeball type game, a river rafting game, obstacle course and more. It is very important that you have a spacious livingroom to play this in, this game WILL NOT WORK in a small bedroom without at least 6 feet in front of the tv, we learned this the hard way and it can be very loud as there is a lot of jumping so probably not good for someone in an apartment because your neighbors will probably think you're having a fight club meeting in your livingroom. All around great fun and the camera on the kinect (be forewarned) takes random pictures during play of you in awkward poses (kids love this) which is cute. This game is very family friendly and with some patience and practice you will enjoy it!!

I thought this would be a fun and family interactive game where I wouldnt have to buy extra controllers for everyone to play, turns out I was way off. It takes a long time to get it focused in on the little ones and my youngest cant even get it to work for her no matter where we set the knect. Once you start playing its great until you move one inch out of its range then it takes 10 more minutes to get it focused back on the child. As for myself and husband its great to play but unfortunalty it defeted the purpose I should of just bought the wii. Not to mention that there is really only a few games for kids the dance game is a little to advanced and it the knects sensor doesnt pick up all the kids moves so they have to keep re-doing it over and over and anyone with kids knows that eventually their patients run out. To me it was a waste of money they no longer want to play.

put the kinect lower for your child at least 3 inches above your childs head and have her move back a bit

If it really takes 10 minutes to adjust then you are either playing in the dark, not standing within the recommended distance, or you have a defective Kinect. We have ours in a fairly well lit room with plenty of space and it works fine even with the dramatic height differences between kids and adults.

i totally agree it is the best thing in gaming yet! at first i loved the wii but when kinect came i just forgot about our wii!
