i got the Kinect for Christmas and i honestly think it was worth my money like so fun when i play it MICROSOFT YOU DID IT AGAIN.

Okay so if your thinking of getting a kinect read this first please. First i will go over the bad things about the Kinect. 1. if you dont have space in your house to play then you might as well trade it in. 2. sometimes kinect will glitch up when someone walks BEHIND you. 3. the kinect is only good for arcade/mini games, the only adventure like game it has is harry potter and from personal exsperience its better with a controller. Now I'll tell you the only reasons you should get one. If you have a nice house with a big room in it and a good sized tv then yeah go ahead and get one. If you have friends over or family over alot and they like to play games like that then you should get one. Or maybe if you want to try to get into shape (this could actually get you into potential shape) then yeah get one. Theres just one thing. this actually requires that you have a big enough space to play because if you dont then your never going to be able to play. So think about this for a second. what if your house is small with no room big enough to play in. or maybe you have all the space taken in your house and no matter how much you ask your parents wont let you move their stuff. I think that the main reason some people like me dont like the kinect is because the majority of people on earth dont have enough room to play in or if they do it makes them mad because its a tight fit. im going to rate this about a 5/10 because the way it worked was okay. thank you for reading this and please take my advise.

I was skeptical when I first heard about the Kinect. Here was a camera that was able to track your movements and recognize your speech. I won't lie, I thought this was going to be the one great failure of Microsoft. However, much to my surprise it works as advertised! I went with my friend the day after kinect launched to pick one up and once back to his house it was up and running within minutes. It was so fun we ended up playing for 5 hours strait and at the end we were so tired we could barely even move. The menu navigation is amazing and I would have forked out the $150 just for that, and the games were awesome as well. The most amazing part of Kinect was when we were trying to show others how to play. My friend's step-father came in to see what we were up to. He was drunk and could barely stand up but with little to no instruction at all he was playing along and having fun, and this was someone who never played a video game in his life. From then on I was sold, and went to purchase one for myself. There are a few drawbacks such as play space, lighting conditions, and limited library but if you meet those requirements it will be a worthwhile buy. Don't listen to those who say this this doesn't work they either never used it, can't follow directions, or most likely is a Sony fanboy. This works!
i played at best buy and it stinks so dont buy it the sencer is way off and it hurts

well you have to calibrate the SENSOR and if it hurts you need to move more daily

I picked this up about a month ago thinking it would just be an Xbox verson of Wii. I was REALLY wrong. Even though the graphics are sort of bad they will beat the Wii's andy day. You need at least 6 foot of space to play. If you dont have that 6 foot then you will get a little lag but with the 6 foot or more it will work great. This is a great accessory for a kid gamer who really can't use a normal xbox controller. It is great for casual gamers who just get on xbox to mees around with friends. And it is great for parties because if you pic up dance central it is just like being at the club! I would HIGHLY NOT reccomend it for hardcore gamers because they want to play and play and play for a long peiord of time and the kinect would simply get boring. Overall, I would get this for your kid or go and buy it yourself ;) because it is a sold motion sensor for Microsoft.
