I bought this on launch day and was highly disappointed. When calibrating Kinect it kept telling me to stand on my couch. Not everyone will have a big enough playing field to be able to use Kinect. Now I use it as a really expensive headset. The commercials for Kinect always show the same HUGE living room. I know people that have smaller rooms than mine who have and Xbox 360. Do you think they should get Kinect? This is why I prefer the Wii. I can sit on my couch and play and I don't need a HUGE room to play. I have MOVE too but there are no good games for it either. This is just another gimmick. Plus Kinect keeps picking up in-game voices as mine.

Well Microsoft did a good Job this time with a get your off the couch and play or sit on the couch and watch movies, video chat and more without a controller in hand. Kinectimals is fun for the family (Very Cute and Funny too) and the included game (kinect adventures) gets you moving a bit (some excersize) which is good. I have not got the rest of the games yet for Kinect (Xmas coming soon) but there is enough to choose from to match most family or party style gaming needs. I have seen some negative reviews most due to issues of like im a hardcore gamer (shooters only) or have not purchased Kinect and don't care for family games and post a review on something they don't have. lets get the hardcore gamer definition right folks A Hardcore Gamer plays all games not one particular style of game... so if you play Halo or Call of duty alot your a hardcore shooter not gamer. I play all types of video games from shooters to RPG's, puzzle board, etc... but do I call myself a hardcore gamer? Nope because I can't stand most of the sports games. Granted Kinect introduces some sports titles like boxing, bowling, soccer and so on which has peeked my interest so I may give them a try. This is an add on to Xbox 360 giving you voice commands, video chat with friends and more. it works well out of the box. With firmware updates for future enhancements it could keep advancing offering more features down the road which really holds its value. First Generation games for Kinect may not meet the so called Hardcore Gamer expectation or interest because their used to sitting on the couch then so be it. I like it, my Family and Friends like it nothing bad to say about it from my experience. So if your Family Game oriented this is for you.
