This device is simply amazing. I would buy this if it costs 300$ If you have an 360 this is a "Must Have" device. I have only found one problem with the device...It keeps picking up my cat as another player when he lumbers into the room.

Hurtful truth

Okay, here's the deal. I was asked to test this for a friend so he gave me the money to get it. I brought it home, oh and I needed to get a bracket to fit it on my TV. When I got home and set it up I tested it. I watched a movie for a minute before the movie stopped and the console turned off due to a command that wasn't supposed to be said. Now here's some history. For those of us who know of the PSEye. Came out in 2006 or 2007 (newest model) it is a bit old. Not as old as the Kinect though and not $100+ overpriced like the Kinect. The PSEye captures at 120FPS, 4x more than the Kinect which captures at 30FPS. The PSEye also has 3D detection for $110 cheaper than the Kinect. If you're thinking of getting this for your kids, just get a Wii or PSMove not only will they work better but you won't have to take your TV off of its wall bracket to use it.

Sounds like you should have researched before you bought. The numbers on the analytical side of things may not be what you would like to see, but then again they really aren't a deal breaker either. The numbers don't mean anything to me, because I've played both and don't notice any difference in play experience except that we enjoyed the Kinect a heck of a lot more. It's just a totally different interactive experience than holding a controler.

Kinect is pretty awesome but I think that it still has a couple of glitches that can be fixed. Like how all of a sudden your feet or arms go al wild and crazy when you are trying to do the Kinect Id or in the game menu. I think it's a great product for all ages. You don't need anything to play with but your body which is awesome because I have never been so tired from playing a video game I never get tired but then Mircosoft invented this and I actually have to try just to beat a level. The thing about the Wii and Playstation is that there are controllers so that could be dangerous if it slipped out your hand and hit the tv. Micrsoft has invented something to let you stay fit while having fun. I would like to see some in-game content avaliable online to download onto Kinect Adventures but overall this game is perfect. Also I would like to see games for a 14 year old on this like Halo, and Call of Duty or something.
