Just a few days ago, I got my Kinect. I have to say it's amazing and what I expected..The Kinect sennsors always picked up my movements and made the avatar do the same at the same time. The only glitches I have had so far is with my feet movement. Sometimes my feet will start moving like crazy when I'm not doing that but other than that it tracks my movements perfectly. Of course the graphics are great, it's still XBox. One of the things I can say bad about it is that Kinect Adventures kept me moving alot, but eventually I got tired of it. There was only a few games to play and some of them weren't so fun. The other thing is that I don't like is the Kinect Hub. It's simple and great but it doesn't have all of the great features like ESPN, Game Library, Facebook and other things. Overall, this thing is AMAZING. Playstation just came out with Playstation Move which uses a motion controller. With Kinect, you're the controller. Why is Playstation coming out with a motion conroller thing when XBOX makes something where you're the conroller. What year are you living in, Playstation? Kinects the real deal.

This product was actually fun. Kinect follows my movements when i move my hand and stuff. This product is awesome, but it should get some improvements. When i first got this i thought i could control netflix or turn my xbox 360 on with it but i can't yet. Maybe in the future they will hopefully...But yeah when i bought this i got kinect adventures. The game is actually fun and is funenr if you play woth other people. This game is actually a work out..lol i got tired after doing like 12 games in the game. All in all this product is cool because you can talk to other people with it. You don't need a xbox 360 mic to chat with other players because kinect does it for you i reccomend this product. there will be much more for this in the future.

Tracks people well. Voice commands work almost to perfection. Hardware is solid and stylish.

When I first saw Kinect being demonstrated on television and internet videos, I was a bit skeptical. Sure, Kinect worked great in Microsoft's perfectly controlled environments with pristine living rooms and ample play space. I wanted to see how the device would work in a normal living room with clutter, tight spaces and less than perfect television placement. Well, it sure did not disappoint. After moving the coffee table out of the way, I had just about seven feet of distance from the sensor to my playing area. This was ideal for Kinect as well as for me. I am six feet tall and had to stand this far away for the sensor to see me from head to toe. For my setup, the sensor was placed about three and a half feet off the ground at the base of my TV on a glass TV stand. I would recommend spending the extra cash and buying the television mount to put the sensor on top of the TV, as the sensor has a better chance of capturing a taller person like myself. The Kinect performed beautifully. The motion sensing is just as perfect as shown in the demos. I had no trouble with the sensor not picking up any movement. The voice recognition is top notch and was able to pick up my voice in a loud living room with other people talking. Motion sensing games using my body were a lot more entertaining than I thought they would be. I enjoyed myself, got a work out, and was pumped to play again as soon as possible. The one thing I am disappointed about is that the Kinect will not work with the regular dashboard just yet. I was hoping to navigate through the dashboard with a wave of my hand, but the motion tracking is only for the Kinect Hub part of the dashboard. Overall, this is a solid product and amazing technology. Waving my hands through menus and commands felt very Science Fiction and I loved every minute of playing the games. I look forward to many years of entertainment with this device. Highly recommended.
