this is a fantastic console. it's fast, has plenty of online options, and has an amazing controller. the discs don't hold as much data as a ps3 disc, and xbox doesn't have much first party software. I know this model has been designed to not red ring, but I was surprised to see how how this got. so in conclusion this is a fast system with great online and an amazing controller, while the ps3 has lots more 1st party software, the highest disc capacity, and sixaxis built into the controller (for tilt). you should get one of these and a ps3.
i bought this for my ten year old son it has done nothing else bu t good he has started to not fight wth his sister

I bought this system after having my old Xbox 360 Pro for 4 years. I brought it home and plugged it in, the only issue I faced was the fact that I couldn't transfer my 16 Gigobytes of memory from my old Xbox because when I first got it I didn't realize you had to format the hard drive so I now have to either restart every game I own or just never play the campaigns to them anymore. It wasn't necessarily the systems fault but they should forewarn you somehow that you will need to NOT configure the old hard drive. Also the system is slimmer so naturally the hard drive is much different so you can't just plug your old one in and flip it all over to the internal drive or anything. There are also no slots for the Memory Units sold for the original Xbox 360 and Elite so you are forced to use USB Thumb Drives for external memory. On the bight side of it, it being Wi-Fi enabled saved me from throwing out 80 extra dollars that I don't have. The system is very handy, more compact, and much more preventing of problems than the prior 360's that we've had in the past. I love my Xbox 360 S and it still makes me giggle like a little school girl every time it makes the silly sounding beeps when I press the power or eject button. Lastly, the Power button and Eject button are both touch sensitive since they aren't actually buttons so you need to be careful when cleaning the front of the 360 for you may accidentally turn the Xbox off like I have done multiple times.

I got this for myself wwhen the slim came out but I was highly disappointed. I asked every expert I know annd said I was useing it right but said to get a sony PS3. I highly recomend the Sony PS3. Less than a 1% failier resault. I know you will think it isgood but you have to try them both like me and a resault I got the Sony PS3. Dont waste your money.

Lies the ps3 does not have a 1% failure rate it has a 10% failure rate in 2009 and the xbox360 and ps3 are over all the same thing. Theres not alot of diffrence between them u if u dont like it u would go to ps3 or a xbox but not a wii. theres not mutch that seprates them and there both great consoles. but there is no need to hate on 1....

well i have the white xbox and the slim i have had my white xbox for 4 years now and it still works fine now the slim it works way better so if your looking to upgrade its so worth it
