i just got this headset for Christmas and in already love it. It is so comfortable and really good for games such as the call of duty series. the only problem is that it doesn't come with a cable for pc, you have to pay extra for it, but otherwise its great and i recommend it to anyone who is serious about gaming. also, this headset is almost as good as astro a40s for over 100 dollars less!

only 2 cables from the back and one from the front
i was reading the reveiws for this head set and i saw so many negative ones. i have to say i think they are all lies or maybe just their bad luck. the design is very sturdy very comfortable. the only problem i had was my ears getting a little sweaty after long piriods of time, but all i had to do was take em off in between games and it was all good again. also there isn't going out and buying more cables, you get the following: Xbox cable, optical cable, converter box, usb to ps3/xbox, stand where you can set the converter box, the actual converter box, the headset, and the microphone. Another thing is i don't see why people say that's there are so many wires, i only have 2 wires coming out of the back(usb to ps3/Xbox and optical cable) and one wire in the front (the headset connector). I also like the little controller where you connect the xbox cable it has your voice volume, and if you press it takes off the function where you can hear your self from the head set, also it has 2 game volume controllers one on the converter box and one the controller thingy. you can mute the game volume witch comes in handy at times

I bought these about a year ago and haven't had a major problem since. The headset is very good in the sound quality. From searching for a campers in Call of Duty to Listening to the epic soundtrack in Skyrim, these headsets havent let me down. They will give you an advantage over the other players. Not only that but use these to listen to music and you will be blow away by the sound quality. The sound is very good for the price in my opinion. The overall design for the headset is good and durable (coming from someone who through them a little bit) have not had a problem. These are very good and i have no complaint with the design. The price is very good because not only does it work with Xbox but also works with PS3 and PC. Overall if your looking for some inexpensive surround-sound headsets get these I love mine and hope to get another 6 months out of them.

Mic Problem

The tritton ax720 is a advanced version of the turtle beach x12 headset to say the least. The mic has great game quality for games like Skyrim the hearing is great then it comes to the mic the mic cant be all great compared to the turtlebeach since the mic on Trittons is detachable it would lead to mic to headset connection issues. After 3 weeks of getting the headset the mic already broke and cant pick up any sound i tried unpluging it and plugging it back in at least 15 times and i really wasted alot of money that i worked to get that mic.

just order the mic part from tritton's website. btw, i've never had this problem and i had my tritton AXPRO for almost a year and my 720s for about half a year. fyi, it's better than the x12s because it has true surround sound and it's more customizable and almost twice as much. the x12s are the most basic headset out there that isn't dirt cheap or sounds bad. it's true that the turtle beach headset mic are very sensitive compared to trittons but the detachable mic is for people who don't want to talk or rather just hear the game sounds. the higher end headsets have this feature (AXPRO, Astro A40s, etc.). i have the newer version of the 720s (7.1 surround sound, new look for box, etc.) and they have the self monitoring voice feature (i'm not sure they had this on the old version) so you can hear how you sound to your teammates. maybe try changing your mic volume or like i said, just order the part from trittion's website because it's pretty cheap.
