I use to have the turtle beach px21. Great headset for the price tag but like most px21 or dpx21's the speaker stopped working one day. They looked brand new. So I went out and bought myself the Tritton AX Pro. Let me tell you, these headset are worth the price. I have not messed with the individual speaker settings but plan to in the near future. I did turn down the bass so that I could hear footstep in COD. The Trittons are not flimsy or as light as the Turtle Beach, with that being said; the tirttons are more sturdy and comfortable. The Trittons T on the side of the headset glows orange which is extremely nice looking at night. IMO, the Tritton AX Pro are a better headset than the Turtle Beach DPX21.

Ok had these for 1 day so far. so bare with me spent about one month reading specs and reviews on head sets. i went with these for a couple of reason 1. they got 8 speakers total for surround sound 2. got better feed back on reviews and overall rateing than other muti speaker head sets. cons i have are 1. i would love to have more tweaking on the sound i kind of wish i could load it up on a pc and tweak it on its own software and then play on the ps3 but the sound is great i just would think for the price it would have been sweeter.2. its wired but i wanted wired due to wanting true surround sound so no biggie. i have no probs so far but i will post if i do run into any, install was a breeze just read the directions and bam done in 5mins. i bought these due to late nights and playing games till late into the nexted day so i would have to turn off the surround sound at night. buy them try them if you dont like return them but i love them and iam very picky when it comes to sound i have a nice surround sound for my tv and i got a very nice sound system in my truck these sound great on black ops i can hear alot better and loudness does not bother me in fact it makes me more in my comfort zone. thanks for reading. i gave it a 8 on design only cause its wired and the mic/volume control has a shirt clip on it but i dont wear a shirt gameing so i just let the whole thing dangle would add a suction cup to it later so solve that prob.

Well I was saving up for the Astro a40's, but I realized i had over $100 in gamestop store credit and I didn't want to let that go to waste. I decided to save up for the turtle beach x41's since gamestop doesn't sell astro a40's. When i went to one of there stores the guy at gamestop told me about tritton. I have always been a turtle beach fan so I was a little bit on the edge. I went home and did a little research. I bought them and waited for them to come... A couple of days later I got them and immediatly set them up. They sounded TERRIBLE on dolby digital it was just nasty. the bass sounded so bad. My friend told me to switch it to dolby pro logic II and i did. I fell in love. Than about a week later i tried dolby digital again. I was amazed, there must have been something wrong with it the first time because it sounded AMAZING this time. This is a great headset i reccomend getting it, however there are alot if wires. But if you want a headset that has good sound get the astro a40's but if you wanna headset that's a little bit cheaper but has great surround sound go for these! Oh i almost forgot about the 4 speakers in both of the earcups. Instead of 2 speakers like the astro a40 and the turtle beach x41 they have 8 in total. The tb's and astros give off SIMULATED 7.1 surround sound while these tritton ax pro's give off true 5.1 surround sound because they have 4 speakers in each cup. Guys this is a great headset you should try it out. Thanks!

The Tritton AX Pro is very useful and gives you a huge advantage over player who dont have a headset for example i killed someone in MW2 because I heard them pull the pin on thier grenade. So over all this purchase is very much worth the money
