Good Headset, But...
PostedAugust 31, 2012
I got this headset because I wanted to replace my awful EarForce PX21 and wanted great surround sound for BF3 on my PS3. When I opened the box, the headset looked sleek and sturdy, but once I went through it, I realized how fragile it was and how cheap the plastic actually was. Not only that, but I saw how many cheap cables it took to run the headset alone. And worst of all, it required a separate prong just to make the logo on the ear-cups glow! The set-up took me 10 minutes and it took me 3 minutes to make it compatible with my PS3. I thought the set-up was the worst of it, but I was wrong. The surround sound was critically acclaimed as "the best surround sound and headset could bring", but I found the sound quality muddy and poppy like my EarForce PX21's. I did not like it at all! I even took the time to research online the perfect tuning for each separate speaker, but even that didn't make a difference! The headset eventually broke after 2 months of simply wearing it on my head! I called customer support (which was lousy) and could not get a replacement for them. These headsets were banned from the MLG for a reason! My recommendation is NOT to buy "Turtle Beach" or "Tritton" headsets, but to go with the "Astro A40" headset instead. It may be $100 more than the "Tritton" headsets, but it's worth every penny. No hastles, great quality, compatible with everything.

Great headset!
PostedMay 23, 2012
Originally I bought the Triton Ghost Recon gaming headset but it was surprisingly not compatible with the PC. When looking for a headset I wanted a headset that worked on PC and Xbox. So I was able to exchange the Ghost Recon's for these and I like them better. (However I was completely happy with the performance of the Ghost Recon headset) The AXpro's sound great with crisp sounds and great bass too. I like that I can adjust each speaker level to my liking when playing a game or watching a movie.
