It gets repetetive...

It's a very fun game, and I only had one problem with it: the lack of areas. Everything took place in Kirkwall (after the prologue) and I got very bored with it after about half the game was over. There's an infinite amount of enemies (which is an improvement from Origins) and some pretty unique characters, with varying back stories. You choose between two sexes and three classes which are Warrior, Mage and Rogue. A warrior is the power house, the mage is, obviously, the spellcaster and the rogue, is the thief/assassin. I really don't want to spoil anymore (because it's quite a short game), so I'll say this, 7/10.

Dragon age 2 is an excellent game. It excels in storytelling and helps you to really get into the game and care about the decisions you make. There is some differences from Dragon Age: Origins, such as the new combat mechanic. It seems to have received mixed reviews but I find it fresh and enjoyable. Up there with the Mass Effect series, Dragon Age has again succeeded where others have not. I would definitely suggest this game to everyone and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

I had this game on pre-order and when it came out I sat here playing the game till I beat it. The voice acting was great, the graphics were wonderful and the game ran smooth, never had any glitches or game freezes during any play through so far. They went to more of a Mass Effect pause menu which was better in my opinion; one thing they should have left in was the option to have 2 weapon sets equipped at once instead of having to go into inventory to switch sets.
Combat System:
The new combat system was nice even though the main attack was just sitting there pressing X it was more enjoyable then in the first one where you clicked X once and watched your character attack. The new moves for each of the classes were actually worth using in this one.
Storyline:
Storyline of how the hero progressed from a Nobody to a Hero was nice the final bosses weren’t too hard, and you mainly went around solving problems for the rest of the town. The game did have a lot of side quests though which is always nice for the extra cash and xp.
Armor:
Needs a bit more variety, in the end the champions armor is the best, they needed more armor like the first one where you had Blood Dragon, Juggernaut, other armors like that to earn that are just as good or better then Champions. Although Champions did look pretty sweet, the rogues look was my favorite.
Weapons
Limiting the Warrior Class to either having a sword/shield, or a 2 hand weapon, and rogues to daggers/bows only was a little disappointing especially since there wasn’t much choice in daggers or bows.
Overall:
Overall I enjoyed the whole game despite the flaws they had and they’ve definitely left it open to make a 3rd one and I’m thinking it’s going to have something to do with the Hero of Ferelden and the Champion of Kirkwall, since at the end they said both went missing.

Since the announcement of this game, I've eagerly awaited its release. Being a hardcore gamer (especially for Bioware products), I think this game did not deliver on the two most important aspects, storyline and combat. I didn't feel the storyline had a real epic feel to it, other games they've made (KOTOR, Mass Effect, Jade Empire, DA:O) have a much grander feel to them. They've simplified the main character's role from the last hope of civilization to someone who has to solve every petty squabble in an unstable city. Not only that, but there's no sense of travel either. It's alright that they would just cycle through the same zones for every quest, heck, they did that kind of stuff with the Mass Effect titles, as long as they don't use those for the main plot. The combat on the other hand is alright except for the fact you need to press X(A), for every single normal attack. I can see the flaws they had in their hold system, but making us mash the same button for the whole game to kill anything makes me miss DA:O. Other than that, I think the combat system is quite accomplished.
