great 4 hard core gamers and best online
PostedMay 9, 2012
i bought this product 4 my self and i have had both 360 and ps3. the ps3 is a good system it is true when sony says it does everything.. but it doesn't do everything best! 2 start with online yeah you have 2 pay 4 a membership on xbox but it is way faster and the frame rate beats ps3 hands down. the graphics on ps3 are just a little better but nothing 2 brag about. the thing i like the most personally is the games! i like the xbox games better but thats just me.. i like 2 play online a lot so if you want the best online experience and dont mind paying a little 4 it xbox is the way 2 go!!! and if you like 2 play with your friends that has different games then you, you can still talk 2 them while you play or even if there not playing a game at all.. the cross chat is a very nice feature!

DONT BUY IT, 3 XBOXes have broken down on me.
PostedMay 7, 2012
I have gone through 3 xbox 360s now. Continually getting the infamous "ring of death". My console does not move so it is not because of me dropping it or spilling something on it. It simply breaks while trying to do what it is supposed to do, play games. I am fed up and warn everyone else that the first XBOX you buy WILL BREAK and it will not be the last you are forced to buy. Also Microsoft charges $100 to repair their poorly made system! Save your money and get an extremely reliable PS3. Ive had one PS3 while I've gone through 3 XBOXes in the same time span.

RROD repairs are free even after the warranty expires. It takes a few weeks, but i got it once and sent it in and now it works fine.

Excellent Product

This newer version of the Xbox line, has completely omitted the "Ring Of Death", which was ultimately they largest malfunction in the previous version. This system is capable of withstanding all nighters, then all dayers back to back however many times is necessary, due to the new cooling system. This products only negative is the fact that it starts off with a 4gb hardrive, and forces you to purchase a larger because the old hardrives don't fit into this new model. But it's well worth the investment.

Ok at first, but overall not worth the hassle

Let's first say I have 360 and a ps3, but I've had a 360 much longer. It's been great at first, seeing as all my friends had it so I loved playing with them. But seeing as I shared it with 3 siblings, it was used all the time. The system shouldn't be used for more than 3 hours at a time, so that equals out to less than an hour each for us. Because of too much use, we've sent them back over 6 times for the rings of death, in which they send you somebody elses fixed system, and all dlc you downloaded becomes useful for only the first person that downloaded it. So after paying $100 to fix it, and waiting countless weeks, now I have to pay more to play anything my siblings bought. It's eaten countless discs, and I can't even put a new hd on it unless it's one made for xbox. My ps3 however has never broken, upgraded the hd to 500 gb for under $100, and have never had to pay for online services. And ps3 discs dont scratch ever if you are even halfway decent in taking care of them, rather than breaking in the system itself. It's your call, but I'd stay away if you don't like spending insane amounts of money.

Just to let you know, on this newer version of the 360 they've fixed the whole red ring of death thing. I owned the previous one also, an did put a lot of time and money into the repairs, but I've left this new one on all night, all day, and came back , game wasn't froze it picked up where i left off, and my picture was still streaming clear. The only down to this new version of the 360 is the fact that it starts off with a 4gb hard drive and you have to purchase a larger one. Other than that, Xbox slim smashed the Ps3 all day.

Instead of paying more for dlc, why don't you re-download what you bought from your download history on your account? And idk if you did or not, so ignore this if needed, but you don't send in the hdd with the xbox, just the xbox itself. Keep the hdd.
