Truly Great

The Pro Elite Controller is a very specific beast, meaning that it has one goal in mind which is: Bring the Experience of the PS3 and the Xbox 360 into one controller.
The Power A, for the most part hit's that goal. The Controller comes fully featured with concave Analog sticks, light up display for playing in the dark and comfortable grips. In fact the overall design is better suited for those who feel that the Sony Brand Controller is too small and structurally weak. Furthermore the face buttons feel just as responsive as Sony's and the Power A (Pro Elite's) D-Pad is Miles ahead of it's 360 Counterpart as is the Grip. The Only Disappointment for this controller is the Triggers, while they offer resistance not unlike the 360 controller they are not true triggers, faithful to the Design goal however it is a small gripe considering that they are still better than the PS3 version. The Shoulder Buttons are similar to that of the PS3 and is neither a definitive pro or con as it is a matter of personal preference.
Pros
-Sixaxis
-Responsive Face Buttons
-360 style layout (including size)
-Comfortable Analog Sticks
-Superb Grip
-Light up Display
-D-Pad is Better than 360 and PS3
-Yes it is great for shooters
Wired Version has plenty of cord
Con's
-While Better than Sony Brand triggers leave room for improvement
-Home button is unable to turn the system on
-wireless version requires Dongle (USB signal Receiver)
-Wired Version lacks Sixaxis, however it is significantly cheaper

This is A Good Controler

So there i was buying my ps3 with Killzone 3 and got home hooked everything up and started playing some online on Killzone 3, I was expecting to be poppin out headshots left and right but i didn't then i realized the DS3 was my problem so i researched a Xbox 360 like controller for my PS3 and i found the Pro Elite A and i saw that some of the reviews were bashing it which make me skeptical but i went ahead and bought it i opened it up and read the manual and synced it with my ps3 with the usb thing. I started playing and the controller felt great except for the grip it feels a little rough but u get used to it after a few minutes the the only Con about this controller is u can't turn the Ps3 . I also borrowed Uncharted 2 from my friend and the Game also works great with it!! i HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS PRODUCT FOR XBOX USERS WHO WANT A XBOX CONTROLLER FOR THEIR PS3!!!!

I was looking for a affordable ps3 controller with six axis support no other controllers have it for the ps3 unless you are willing to fork out 60.00 for the sony one and yes 60.00 is by the time you add taxes to it this controller exceeded my expectations and is just perfect for the transistion from xbox 360 to ps3 this controller is awesome

Died too early...
onSeptember 11, 2011
It's just like the question, "Would you rather buy batteries that would die out eventually, but are cheaper? Or would you rather buy rechargeable batteries that are expensive, but last very long?" This controller died out too soon for me. I have no idea why i bought this and should've known better to just save up for the original dualshock 3 controller. I was going to go for the Afterglow PDP next but I fear that this problem will happen again.

the controller is sturdy and well built. the buttons are fine. takes some time to get used to the right thumb stick it is a little hight then the Sony controllers as well as the D-pad and left thumb stick are swapped and need to get used the that as well.. the triggers are great ,L2and R2 do not allow you to slip anymore :). some else you need to get used to is the size but other then that this controller is fine. it is wired so for some. that might be a down fall.
