Great for FPS and OK for fighting games. The grip is nice to me, and the buttons feel firm and well-built along with the analog sticks. The only reason I was disappointed with this object is because of that one little usb plug-in REQUIRED for the controller to work wireless. It completely fell apart on me and I rarely ever touched the thing let alone my ps3 since both were relatively new (about 2 months). Luckily the inside managed to hold on the plug-in and I taped the plastic poorly made pieces back together so it works just fine now but it was really disappointing. If this were $10 cheaper ($29.99) I'd recommend it to a friend.. but otherwise just pay the extra money for a well-made wireless controller (doesn't rely on usb plug-ins for one).

nothing to be screaming about but a good controller, xbox 360 style type of controller to, but its a hassle keeping with the piece that connects to actual ps3

Me being an xbox player made me need a controller that was more like the 360. I can't stand the normal ps3 controllers, it's an awful design. But this controller is pretty sweet. The right joystick is a bit of a far reach but it's not too bad. Other than that I like this controller.

Unexpected Genius

I saw this controller online and called my wife, who was picking up some games for my daughter at Gamestop, and asked her to get one for me. At the time I was playing Killzone 2 to brush up on the story in anticipation of Killzone 3 and the smaller controllers that come with the PS3 just weren't cutting it. I usually play my 360, but lately my PS3 has become to go-to system. I have now spent a few hours with Killzone 3 using this controller and I can say with certainty that it makes a massive difference. The layout is great, the grips are awesome and the controls are very precise. I know that some people have experienced deadzone issues but I haven't encountered them in any of the games I've played. It's a great controller for those who just aren't comfortable with the standard PS3 controllers.
