This headset is almost perfect. Pros: Crisp, clean clear sound no matter if you play Black Ops all the way to watching a movie! When playing a game the sound is so clear you almost have a glimpse into the future by hearing all movement around. When watching a movie your house will be forgotten as you are immersed into a different world by not having others disturb you. Dual volume control allows user to set game audio and chat audio separately.
Cons: Optical audio and power cord too short.
Second thoughts: Buy it! Be happy! You will soon be on your way to bliss ignoring everything around because this headset will block out 100% noise when proper volume is added, and you will not disturb anyone (just remember to lower your voice because you will be yelling when talking into the mic).

I purchased the black ops 720 and was extremely impressed, however after reading reviews on it I noticed many people saying that it is just a 720 with black ops written on it. Well two days after purchasing my black ops 720, I purchased a normal 720 for my brother. I set both of them up, have played on both of them and I am writting this to clear the air about the differences. Obviously they are ascetically different, but what people posting reviews don't seem to know is that there are alot of other differences. the black ops has braided cables from your headset to the decoder box. the normal 720 does not, it has normal wires which are ok but not nearly as nice as the braided. the black ops has gold plated connectors for enhanced conductivity, the normal 720 does not. the black ops also has a hard mesh over all other cables except the power cable making them more durable and easier to instal. The 720 has normal wires. the black ops also comes in a very cool box, which doesn't really matter but it is a nice touch. But what does matter is the carry case, which is extremely nice and holds extra earpieces that come with it. Bottom line, you are going to pay more for the black ops but, it is significantly nicer and in my opionion well worth it. And it is also NOT just a 720 with black ops stickers.

I did some very heavy research and ended up picking up the AX PRO's. These are just the AX 720's with Call of Duty written on them. You're paying $70 for product placement. These come with virtual surround sound, not REAL 5.1. Any real audiophile can tell you the difference. The AX PRO's also give you range of dB and option to change the rear, center, front and sub levels. That alone should give you idea of what an extra $40 (from the base AX 720 model) and $20 cheaper from these models can get you. Do some research, and you'll know which one to get. and be sure to get a product plan. You never know what can happen.

This headset might be the worst one I have tried as of yet. The sound quality is very poor in Black Ops, and your voice sounds terrible on xbox live. Turtlebeach X41 instantly top these. If you are willing to shell out for this peice of trash headset, you should do the smart thing and get turtlebeachs instead.
