Excellent!!!

don't listen to the bad reviews of this being too expensive. I think people forget that they are getting 250gigs. It works great. It's specifically made for the 360 slim. It works. And I highly doubt I will fill it up. And easy to install. If you don't like the price you can easily just buy a 16/32GB flash drive for $20/40. But there again you're getting 16/32 vs my 250. Great product.

Good but...
PostedAugust 2, 2011
Ok i just got this hard drive yesterday it so far seems very good. It only added 225gb to my xbox inastead of the marketed 250gb but what ever memory is always like that. The only thing i don't like is the price way to much. it should be like eighty.

ITS UNREASONABLE

if you really want more space just get a hard drive at an electronic store and unscrew you hard drive install the one you got and more memory and all you need is a USB to transfer content it's so easy and it's better than spending $100 and its fun unscrewing stuff

This does NOT have a proprietary connector. The hard drive for the 360 S and the original 360 are both 2.5" SATA hard drives. The case for the 360 S is a snap together, so once it is together (or apart) there is no going back. One option is to just plug in the hard drive without a case, but you can also buy aftermarket cases for $5-15 depending on color or transparency. The original 360 can be disassembled and put back together with a replacement harddrive from any electronics store. Either one, you must first format it to work with the 360. It won't be recognized by the 360 until you format it so you cannot use the option on the 360 to do this. Also, the purchased hard drive must be setup in 20, 60, 120, 250, or 320 GB because those are the only sizes MS offers, and therefore, recognized by the 360.

This hard drive has a proprietary connector, you wouldn't be able to use a hard drive from an electronics store.

This new hard drive is designed in the plastic covering to prevent people from modding the Xbox like the original style ones. IT DOES NOT HAVE SCREWS. It is in a plastic clip and if it is not released properly the case will break. If you want to install 250+ gigs get an older XBOX and mod it (if you know how and have the time) if not just buy the new HD, as the 4gb does not offer much room for anything but songs or pictures!

TOO EXPENSIVE!
PostedJune 16, 2011
This product is great if you have money, but if your a person like me that is broke then you wont be able to afford it. This is almost like buying a whole new console! There are cheeper hard drives out there that work just as good and save you lots of money. XBox gets a thumb down from me because they make their side-hardware so expensive such as this.

DUDE REALLY?

Yes it is a bit pricey, and if you go buy a new console it still will not give you much more memory. If you get this, with the 4 g console that yuo may have now, it turns your gigs to RAM! so you not only get more room, but it runs much better and faster.
I got the 4g new box, and got me a 16 gb flash drive and for my husband and son a 16 gb. so we try not to use the actual xbox memory unless have to. But this gets aggravating with the usb's. I have gotten this internal hard drive and its awesome! I can tell a difference in the way it runs. not gigs but go RAM now

It has to be an internal harddrive to use more than 16 gigs on the slim i believe
