It's simply fantastic. I've had this for about a month now and I've had no problems with charging other controllers or my PS3 overheating. Its great because you get more USB ports and you also have more options of uploading stuff to your PS3. Its compact it fits in to the overall design of the PS3 without hanging off (theres a hooks that keeps it latched onto the system). In the future if theres any problems with my system overheating I'll buy one of those vertical stands and one of those intercooler fans and it should keep my system pretty cool but there no way I'll be removing this thing. It's totally worth buying and I'd recommend it to anybody that wants to do more with their system and doesn't want much of a hassle to do it. Its simple, useful, looks like it belongs with your PS3, easy to attatch and overall a good product.

Pros: expand the media obviously Cons: needs own power source, blocks led light It is worth a buy
Here is the thing. This is as good as your going to get if you want to expand the media on your ps3 (not including the first 3 original ps3). You'll have 3 usb, slot for SD Card, Memory Stick PRO Duo, and Compact Flash card reader. It clips on to the system pretty well and has a stylish look to it. It has a hook on the other end so it isn't hanging to the side (which worries me).
The only thing that really bugs me is that one usb port on my ps3 is powering all these slots. Which is actually not a good idea. We need to have the option of giving the media bar its' own power source. You might have some bumps in the road if not. This absolutely defeats the purpose of having this thing then... It does block the yellow led light of your ps3 even though it tries to transmit it in a weaker fashion.

i have the original fat ps3 and mine only has 2 usb ports. why does everyone keep saying it has 4 when it does not

This is great if you got a couple of controller, the MOVE, a psp or other ps3 accessories that require a usb link to the ps3. now I can play SOCOM4 with the sharpshooter with my headsets on and still could charge my controller at the same time. I think the only con with this is that the charge time is extended a bit if you have all ports occupied. its really easy to put on and take off just be careful not to break the plastic hook when removing it. It is design to keep the vents open so your ps3 don't over heat. I've had it for a couple of months now and haven't had any problems with it, not even in +90 degree days.
