Everything was great, until...

I just got this game this week and everything was great with it. It was fun and worked smoothly on my MAC UNTIL I added the ambitions extension pack and now the game doesn't even work. All I get is a notice that says the disc is not inserted when it clearly is. It is not my computer, it is the game messing up. Why pay the 50 bucks for the deluxe edition if as soon as I install the extension package, the game stops working? Freaking waste and I am NOT happy.

You could be right that the problem is with the disc. Sometimes discs could be corrupt even when brought brand new. I have been through it before. What you have to do it take the game and the receipt back to the store that you purchased it from for a EXCHANGE. When they ask you why, just let them know that the disc does not work. They will exchange the damaged item for a new one. Try it when you get home and this should help. If not then the problem is with your computer. But def. come back on here and let everyone know if this worked. ~ From my own personal experience.

Are you using the Sims 3 disc or the deluxe disc? If you're not using the Sims one it won't say you have it inserted (the same thing happened to me with the original Sims game) If that's not the case though, I don't have any ideas. Hope this helps :)

I have never been so addicted to a game in my life! I have it on pc, ps3, and on Ipod. I play for hours and hours and never get tired of playing. This is definately a must have game. The night life expansion pack is the best out of all of the expansions available at this time. Outdoor living is second, the outside of my house looks better than the inside lol...so what are you waiting for go go go buy this game

This version is for the PC or MAC.Not 2 be used with Wii or other gaming consoles. That is what the mac title is for.

Sims 3 is a massive improvment on he previous sims. First off the most noticable new feature is the ability to walk around. No longer will you have to wait with loading screens or call for a taxi. The sim creation has also improved greatly. Although they overshot with their saying "You can make your sim look like anyone you know" the creation system is still great. Gamplay feels similar to other sims so you can get straight into it if you've played before. The deluxe edition that comes with the Ambitions pack is wonderful. Being able to control your sims at work was a great addition. If your new to Sims or have been playing since the first one (Like me) you will love the Sims 3 no matter what your age.
