This controller makes all the difference

I bought this controller just after mortal kombat hit, cause the black one i have just wasn't working for me, wanted a d-pad like the playstation one. So i charged it and game it a go and LOVE it, it makes all the difference. So after the mortal kombat trail with it i decided to give it a go with Marvel VS Capcom 3 Fate of Two Worlds, and another great performance. Going to get three more later this week, like them that much.

D-Pad Popped Off After Heavy Use (Mortal Kombat)

I was pleased with this controller and it's rotating d-pad. I did have a couple of opinions before the controller broke. The performance of the D-Pad isn't astonishing, it would be much better if they'd just get rid of the disc entirely.
Sadly, my d-pad broke yesterday after playing Mortal Kombat everyday since launch. That's less than a week of gametime and the controller had a catastrophic failure.
If you plan on buying this controller for light or heavy d-pad use, make sure you keep the reciept just in case. I noticed in the reviews that there was another person, and perhaps more, that had this problem. 4 out of 14 people favored his review, which means the majority of people thumbed him down.
I'd say, he's telling the truth. Just be careful and keep the receipt.

when i bought my 250gb xbox360 for $300 i got this controller inside after 3 weeks it had s short in it playing ac revaltions middle of killing ppl it just turn of and i lost the mission

I have had this controller since November and is very pleased. I bought my for $64 and thought made a good deal considered a regular controller cost $50 and the charger cost $20. I definitely recommend to anyone who does not enjoy controllers that required constantly changing batteries.

Slight Changes Make all the Difference

I've been putting this controller under heavy use for just over four months now and so far it has performed excellently. The controller has been very resilient and has maintained it's just-out-of-the-package quality as best as its physically possible too up to this point. After weathering many many hours of what can only be described as "excessive force" while pressing buttons during dramatic moments of game play the buttons function just as smoothly as they did on day 1. Not a single button has started to have a singly problem yet, such as buttons becoming loose or jamming or simply not always working when pressed or not working correctly because it's sensitivity to pressure as been ruined. The new d-pad design was an excellent idea and it makes the arcade games much for enjoyable, so that is a huge bonus alone for since my first gaming experiences as a young kid were on an Atari, Nintendo, and in arcades. Now it is actually possible to have complete control over your character when using the d-pad. Some people have complained about the adjustable d-pad breaking a lot, but these people probably just don't want to admit that they were screwing around with it for no reason when they broke it. This is probably the truth, you know it is, I know it is, and they know it is ha. The analog sticks seems to move much better now and seem a lot easier to control to me. Part of this is because of the new design on the "thumb grips" (I guess I call them that) on the top of the analog sticks that allow the thumb to maintain much better control with the possibility of slipping off becoming greatly reduced. Some people have complained about the buttons not being color coded, but these people are just stubborn cynics that can't find any real & logical arguments against this controller (which seems like a waste of time to oppose something like this anyways). Nobody ever looks at their controller in order to know what button to press once they have learned how to player, so color is completely irrelevant when considering the functionality of a controller. But while we are speaking about the controllers color, I do really like that silver & black combo. Very slick.

100% true bro. Read a few of the other reviews where people have said that their d-pad broke off, and i would have to agree with you they were messing with somehow, and broke themselves. I brought this controller for the fighting games like mortal kombat, and marvel vs cacom 3, and had no problem with it. Just got done with a 24 hour go with it with a few of my buddies, who have just the black controllers, and they are heading in to town to get themselves this silver one.
