Amazing game
PostedFebruary 3, 2011
Love this game, and amazing sequel. But I was very disappointed in the replica plasma cutter, its so small. I could have gotten something like it in a cereal box. The lithograph looks like a post card I could buy for a dollar. The CD is pretty cool. I wish I didnt spend the extra 20 bucks on nothing special.

Tremendous Game
PostedJanuary 31, 2011
My review is based on the single player alone. The single player is very fun. The combat is easy to pickup, but enemies are not always easy to defeat. Plenty of fresh new situations as you progress, one example was shooting at monsters as you are hanging upside down from a crashed tram. But the best part of this game, by far, is the scare effect. Monsters will attack you when you aren't looking, they will jump out from the ceiling and walls, they will pose as dead bodies, and some will even stalk you and peek out from around corners. The sound in this game is tremendous too, there is constantly sounds and music that gives you a constant feeling of unrest and being on edge. If you plan on buying this, definitely try to pick up the collectors edition. The replica Plasma Cutter is pretty cool, but you also get some nice armor and a weapon that is very helpful early in the game (I still use it and I'm almost done with the single player). One of the best game's of the year, though I hear some people don't like the multiplayer. But single player is one of the best I've ever seen.

Game-Awesome, Collectors Edition-not awesome
PostedJanuary 30, 2011
Ok. First off, the rating is for the game, not the collectors edition itself. The game is amazing, worth $50.00 for the regular price. The issue is, the collectors edition sucks. Let's face it, the only reason people are wanting to buy the collectors edition is for the plasma cutter. It is McDonalds happy meal toy standards. The gun comes in a box, altogether (gun and box) weighing roughly the same amount as a Hershey kiss. The gun itself, is extremely small, to my opinion, low quality detail. The front doesn't turn (not that I expect it to on its own, but they could at least make it manual) and the lights are green, not blue. Also, it comes with a music soundtrack, and a laminated card about the size of the game box with a picture of a necromorph on it. Yippee. Save the extra $20.00 and just get the normal game.

I've played through DeadSpace 2 so many times and offers the best of the best. DeadSpace 2 offers so much to do like multiplayer, DLC suits, and scares through out the game. So if your loking for a ride into the mouth of madness pick up this game now! (mouth of madness is a quote from game informer)

Just Buy the Game
PostedJanuary 29, 2011
This review is pretty much a highlight of the collector's edition(360) only. The game itself is hardcore, and definitely lives up to its predecessor. I purchased the Collector's Edition just for the plasma cutter, seeing as how I was thinking about buying Isaac's suit from the Nightmare Armor company, and use this plasma cutter for a nice Halloween get-up. Anyways, the cheap plastic Plasma Cutter is scaled just as big as the box, which is a real bummer because the box is the size of well, any other 360 box (just a bit thicker for extra stuff). So those of you expecting an awesome life size die cast metal sculpture... you get the idea. And no, the end doesn't swivel. It does, however, light up with the use of two AAA batteries. After playing with the flashlight feature for about 10 minutes, the trigger began to stick and it would only release after setting it down and coming back later, so that was an even further let-down. I haven't listened to the soundtrack yet, but I did see a track entitled "Padded Room with a View", which made me giggle. It comes with a code for a special suit of armor, which was cool, but it'll probably be released as a DLC for a turn of profit like the Dead Rising 2 skills, so don't count your blessings just yet. Oh, and last but not least, it comes with a little plastic embossed piece of artwork about the size of the game box, which gave me a paper cut. I'm too much of a collector to use my Zombrex bandage on it though. To sum this all up, just buy the game itself, and save your $20 or so for the upcoming Portal 2 game, or one of the three games I have recommended below. Thanks for reading.
