I've never played WoW, so I can't compare it to anything but SWG. I've played a few MMORPG's before, and can definately say this one has been the best so far. For an MMO, the server quality for me never fails, the graphics are impressive, and hey, it's STAR WARS! Who doesn't like Star Wars? If you're second guessing this, don't, because the story line and everything about this game is impressive. The beginning might be a little slow, but once I started playing missions more, I kept on playing!

First I was very skeptical about picking up this game thinking that is would end up like every other failing MMO out. But I’m pleased to tell you, I was very wrong! The main story line keeps you on the edge of your seat for every cinematic/interaction, the PVP aspect is outstanding and very well thought out which will keep you playing for hours upon days end! *THIS GAME WILL NOT DISAPOINT!! *
SWTOR is the big Star wars game of the decade! The pvp/space combat/100% FULLY VOICED MMO/Weapon customization/Races/Classes/ADVANCED CLASSES are all awesome! But for some reason my swtor hasn't shipped yet. This of course has nothing to do with SWTOR's fault. Will prolly go buy it just to get it for the winter break!
I've played it for about a week now, and the classes are so unique and fun, i can barely decide what to play, but i've finally chosen the Imperial Agent Sniper.
The advanced classes REALLY make you feel unique. While there may be another bounty hunter in the pvp match - he may be a Powertech (Tank) while you could be a Mercenary (dps/heals) so its really unique. So in total, there is 8 classes on each faction if you include the Advanced Classes.
The only thing i'm semi-disapointed with is there is no in-game voice chat. So pretty much all guilds require vent/mumble/TS etc. But its no biggy for a game this good.
I JUST CANNOT explain how awesome the voice acting is. Ive played all the classes to lvl 10, and I haven't come across a quest that has lame voice acting. All are experienced voice actors if you ask me. The only way to believe me is to play it - so do it! 10+++++ stars!

I preface this review by saying this is an early stage MMORPG, and as such has tremendous room for improvement as all startup MMO's do. That being said, the first attempt at this game leaves much to be desired. Having played my fair share of MMORPGs (FFXI, GW, WoW, SWG, RS, etc...) I can confidently say this game is different. Relying heavily on the story component, there is a definite change of pace from the typical "pick up quests or go grind" mentality common to this genre of game. The fully voiced characters make the game fun and engaging, causing the player to want to delve further into the story rather than just reach a level cap. However this feature seems overdone, to the exclusion of other common characteristics. Opportunities to grind, for those who appreciate reaching high levels fast, are few and far between. Opening quests are sparse comparative to other MMORPGs, leaving you stuck at lower levels forced to work through endless waves of weak creatures that provide little exp. The exp increases with each level gained are not proportional to your standing and make it difficult and time consuming to grind even at low levels. The gameplay is not unique to SWTOR, seeming more like a hybrid between GW and WoW. Find a familiar pattern of 3 attacks and stick with it. Graphically, this game is tough. As a game marketed for mid-range computers, you may feel slightly cheated. On high functioning PC's, this game is stunning and will leave a lasting impression. But for those of you who don't own an expensive PC, adjusting to low graphics settings will still leave you with choppy gameplay in all but the most simply designed areas. The graphics options seem unfinished, with no option to adjust the distance filtering (a feature which would improve performance immensly) or place the refresh rate above 60. Even with high powered PC's you'll be hard pressed to get over 40FPS. Again, I don't condemn this game yet, as its much to early for that. I've played Beta/Early Access and can recognize an unfinished product when I see it. I'm sure that in the months to come a slue of updates will be put in action that will hopefully dramatically change the course of the game. But for the time being, I personally will not be playing past my free 30 days. I hope this review helps.
