X-Men Destiny

In the action-RPG X-Men Destiny, you control the fate of a new mutant in the X-Men universe. Every choice has a consequence, as your destiny is determined through the decisions you make as you advance through the game. Play as one of three new characters in X-Men lore, each one of whom must come to terms with his or her unique background and powerful mutant identity while uncovering the truth behind an epic event that threatens to tear apart the tenuous peace between humanity and mutant kind. Evolve and customize your core mutant powers with an opportunity to earn and equip "X-genes" to expand and alter your power base. Choose which path to take in key moments that impact your story and how other characters respond to you. Fight alongside and against famous mutants from the X-Men comics, including Wolverine, Cyclops, Emma Frost and more. Will you choose to follow the teachings of the X-Men to unite mutants and humans, or will you usher in a new age of mutant domination with Magneto's Brotherhood? YOU decide.

While playing this game I found myself x-pecting more. The graphics and sound could have improved. The gameplay in this game could have been different as well. I wanted to fighting WITH the X-Men or Brotherhood. Instead, I found myself being a gofer for the groups most of the time. This game was more like the X-Men/Brotherhood were making a special apperances instead of being part of the game. Though some of the bosses are creative, repetitive enemies were annoying at times. Finally, It does not seem that the game uses the full capabilities of the DS. Though you use the stylus a couple of times, you mainly use the control panel and buttons. This game may be okay for the Gameboy Advance but not for the DS.

I cant stand when a games premise doesnt extend to ALL systems. In the DS version of XMen Destiny, you DONT get to chose 1 of 3 different people, you get one. He either punches or shoots. The graphics suck, you dont get to play with the xmen, they just appear at random. Its not an RPG of any kind, I was expecting something like a solo Xmen Legends. Very Disappointing. Sold it back after an hour of play. If I was XPlay I would give this a 1 out of 5. And thats being generous.

This game sounds and looks awesome. The X-Men are 1 of the greatest superhero teams ever. I can play this on my awesome X-Box 360 super elite with great graphics and stuff, and I can play this similiar portable version on my nintendo 3ds. I can't wait for this game.
