Review 1 for Mouse, Naga Molten Special Edition
An Honest, Unbiased Review

Did you buy this product for yourself or someone else? For me
I received my Razer Naga Molten Edition just two days after ordering it, although standard shipping was chosen. I will break this review into five parts, being 1. Ergonomics 2. Performance 3. Practicality and 4. Cosmetics, and 5. Packaging Each aspect of the review will be put into an "Out of Ten" point scheme, with a total of 50 points. Lets get started: 1. Ergonomics: Upon taking the mouse out of the well-done box, and putting it into my hand for the first time, I realized a significantly more gripping texture and shape then the previous mouse I was using, being the R.A.T. 9, also available on Gamestop.com. It has a matte black finish to it, with a non-slip grip on the places where your hands will actually go. The left and right click buttons have grooves for your fingers to slip into, making it perfect for those 8+ hour gaming sessions. This mouse was clearly made for "Palm" grip people, and having a "Claw" grip here would be out of the question. The mouse is not very large, and not very small. If you have small hands, you should have no problem. On the flip side, if you have huge hands this wouldn't work for you. The mouse is about 4 1/16 inches long, and at the widest point about 2 inches wide. It has a large slope off to the right side, and a rest for your ring finger. Overall, the mouse sits well in your hand. Ergonomics Score: 9/10, due to the fact that the slope can feel awkward initially. The next category is the actual performance of the mouse. I have tested this mouse in WoW for about a day in actual game time, and have become quite accustomed to the 12 buttons on the left side of the mouse. They come stock to match the 1234567890-= on your key board, and can be changed to other buttons. There is also a mode where it will map your Number-Pad keys instead. The buttons click very smoothly, and are similar to that of a cell phone. I have no problems reaching any of the buttons, and they are large enough to be clicked quickly and easily. Although they are not extremely easy to click, they are firm enough in order to prevent mis-clicks. Upon using the stock configuration, I have realized that having the buttons on the actual mouse buy you about an extra 1/2 second, in the fact that they are right at the tip of your thumb. This also allows you to keep your hand on WASD, which works out perfectly. In PvP and instances, the mouse functions perfectly and I have noticed an improvement in my performance. I do not see the point to the two keys to the left of your left click, as they do not serve me any purpose, but they are there. I see them being used to activate heal bots, and possibly an Alt or Shift key if that's what you need. The mouse also tracks very well on almost any surface, although I heavily recommend using a well constructed mouse pad. My only problem with the performance of the mouse was that the latest drivers were a pain for me to download and install. However, after long play sessions, the mouse can heat up due to the LED's, but this can be turned off. Overall, the performance of the mouse is 9/10. Next category is Practicality. This will be a brief section. The mouse is meant for an MMORPG, and as mentioned above, decreases the time needed to cast a spell, heal, or engage a target. The mouse does what it is built for in this category, and to exceptional proportions. Overall, the mouse receives a 10/10 for practicality. The next category is Cosmetics. The mouse is built to match the look of WoW's newest expansion, being Cataclysm. It features a "cracked" look, with a red LED pulsating on and off illuminating the mouse and scroll wheel. This can be turned off and on as you wish, through the software. Even with the lights turned off, this is a very attractive mouse, and has very curvy edges and a wave pattern emblazoned within. For Cosmetics, I give the mouse an 8.5/10, due to the fact that some may not enjoy the molten pattern, and the lights can overheat the mouse. For those who do not like the molten look, there is a regular, blue LED version that is just as good performance wise. The next category is Packaging. I was very impressed with the box the Naga comes in, and how clean and new the outer box arrived. It looks as if it was purchased right in the store. There was not a dent or buff in or on the box, and the Naga was very easy to get out of the packaging. Normally, mouses such as the R.A.T. 9 come in fairly annoying packaging, but the Naga's packaging was relatively pain-free. For packaging, I give the Naga's packaging a 10/10, for consumer ease. For the totality of the Naga, I give it an 46/50, which translated into a 96/100, or a flat A. Closing Comments: For a mouse made for MMORPG's it does it job well, and looking swell. At a decent price and ship times, the Naga should be on your To-Get list. It also features a braided cord, and a gold-plated USB port for optimal performance. Thank you. ***Check out the images I have posted as well, to get a look at the Razer Naga yourself.***

Didn't State Anything Regarding The Mouse
This comment does nothing for the readers, as it teaches them nothing regarding the actual mouse, and is solely based upon your opinion. Reviews also are not supposed to have the word "Should" in them, as it directs a certain view of uncertainty. Check out my review for a real glimpse of this product. Thanks, #1 Contributor. What a joke...

I agree with you. It seems almost pointless that I dropped over eighty bucks for a mouse I don't even have, and I'm unsure whether I will actually get it with the release date constantly changing.

Sweet Design on a sweet mouse

Naga is the best mouse for MMO and RPG style games you can get. If I didn't already own one, I would get this edition over the standard as it looks awesome.

Review 5 for Mouse, Naga Molten Special Edition
What's so special?
I have a Naga and while it's not perfect, it is unique. It's the only mouse I've found with a keypad on the side so I'm never for want of buttons (even if some are a bit hard or uncomfortable to reach). What I don't understand is why they need a special edition that apparently changes nothing except the look.
If you're crazy about the "Molten" design then by all means, it's a very good mouse that does things no other mouse can. If all you want is the functionality, you can find the non-Molten version cheaper.

Don't know what other 'previewer' is talking about
The price for the regular Naga and this Molten edition are the exact same price... Should really double check before posting.
