I got this game about 2 days after it's release and started playing the game modes they had to offer this year and honestly felt really good, very smooth, clean crisp graphics which I was very impressed with. But after a couple of days of that I went to play online with friends and see what competition was like and boy I sure was disappointed! I'm an average madden player but when I started getting into matches with people my ranking and seemed to be decently matched, I quickly noticed that just about everyone who plays public matches are what we call MADDEN GODS, which are guys/girls who only play this game and nothing else and know what play to pick, who to sub for the play, where motion is needed to throw your defense off, and even subbing QB out for running backs. I was quickly upset with how maddens online has gone to garbage b/c of these people, I honestly think there should be ranking rooms for these type of people. I'll never buy another madden game ever due to the fact that I love playing online and seeing how people play this game now is pathetic.
Look, you probably think I'm a freak for changing my mind AGAIN about Madden, but I don't change my mind often. I'm not even going to talk about my last review. Any rants I went on about online or losing is because I was bad at the game at the time. But now that I'm experienced, I can say that this is one of the best Madden's. The modes are fun, and I would suggest you pick it up.
Ive played every Madden in existence since I was a kid and still own a copy of the original "John Madden" on Sega and can honestly say Madden 12 is the best yet and its about time. Finally I feel Madden is headed in the right direction. First anyone who says this is the same game from last year, you obviously didnt play the game you tried it out, Madden 12 is much improved. Second whoever says this has bad graphics is a hater. The same people who say Battlefield 3 has bad graphics. Third... last year people complained the defense was too weak, this year the defense is too strong? Really? which one is it? Ive watched NFL football on TV FOREVER!!!! and the defensive line and LBs always deflect passes, especially if your gunning a low spiral directly at them. If they didnt deflect passes the defense is weak, if they do deflect passes its "unrealistic"? Really? Try throwing out of the lane and stop throwing so hard. And try to remember this is a video game. Ive played people who know how to play Madden and they dont seem to be having any problems with this game at all. In fact I WISH when I played online my defense did some of the things I hear people complain about. Overall last years improved running system with this years improved tackling system makes a great football game. Next year maybe improved passing system. Oh... and everybody who keeps saying they rather play 2k5... REALLY? The last 2k football was 2k8 and it was ok it wasnt better than Madden 12 just stop it already lol. Madden is finally back on track! REALLY!!!

Hey, your bright... the whole part about ESPN 2K5.... Well the ESPN series would have been better than the EA Madden Series, Just EA Purchased exclusive rights to the NFL for 8 Years.... In 2013 it will be back open to a free gaming market...

I like the way EA sports did with this Madden 12 game its more realistic and easy on some parts.
