Madden 12 is an amazing game but if could be a lot better. I find some plyers to be very overpowering in this game like michael vick who can dodge virtually any linebacker coming at him and get lik a gain of 20 in one run. also madden UT is very odd. I cant make any trades and when i try to fill in the roster spots it says tht i cant but i barley use it i only tried it for achivevments in the game overall i really love the game and hoping the EA can make improvements later in the franchise

Better than Madden 11

This is definitely an improvement from Madden 11 but still has its flaws. The soundtrack is very good and the menus are not bad though a bit laggy. The overall gameplay is decent but could definitely be better. I have had to knock the difficulty down to Pro because the defense constantly makes unrealistic interceptions and jumps. For an example, when I throw the ball to an open receiver and the defender is facing the opposite direction, in the matter of a split second he completely flips is body 180 around and jumps high into the air and makes an interception that no football player could make. Franchise mode is good and I like the free agency bidding. Superstar mode is getting better with skill points and such but could be a bit more challenging. Overall it's pretty decent but the tackling and overall defensive plays need much work. It's either you score 56 points on an easy difficulty or up it a little and score only 14. I hope Madden 13 brings better improvement to gameplay!

I didn't think this is a good madden. Terrible gamplay, alright graphics,not good modes. what i didn't like was when you want to play ultimate team you need a online account i dont have one yet so i dont play it any more. I'm dissapointed EA:(
Definitely consider this game an improvement over Madden '11. As usual though have the same complaint other Madden gamers have; EA seems to focus on the wrong issues with the game.
The graphics are great, but the commentators are way off when talking (calling out wrong players, talking about plays that didnt happen, etc). The commentation is easily looked past in my opinion.
My biggest complaint is during gameplay. Like other reviewers have written about the linebackers in this game have insane abilities to jump and reaction time. They are constantly knocking down/intercepting balls that would be impossible in real life. I will give EA credit for the new hit engine they created. Tackles are more life like and no more of the laying a player out yet they continue running like they were touched.
The menus are easily navigated, but can be a pain to use. Overall I think EA is stepping in the right direction, but still not there yet.

watch any of the 49ers games this year and you'll see that the linebackers in madden 12 are just like in real life.
