Good for Football fans but for hardcore gamers ehh

this game never lives up to the hype they always talk about all the new innovations but once again like every madden game for the last few years its the same game. Football fans will love it almost no matter what cause they get to play as their favorite players and just get to play the game, but for the hardcore games looking for a realistic football sim this not it. There is just too many flaws for how long it takes EA to put the game out it even came out later then usual and almost nothing changed for madden 11. The offense lost almost all of its explosion the wr and rb almost never make a play. then u have the defense they play amazing the lbs jump way to high and move way to fast i mean i can understand some lbs but all them are amazing. Also the defense nearly makes every interception and ur defense wont do jack. Winning against the computer shouldnt be as hard as it i mean dont get me wrong i like a challenge but when ur star players drop open passes and ur 98 overall overthrows open receivers it just gets kind of ridiculous. Finally if ur just like the game of football and the players get this game but if ur looking for fun and challenge this just isn't it. EA fails once again. Oh yeah and one more thing if u get it used make sure its price is lower then $40 because it is $20 just to buy EA's great idea for the online pass.

Madden 12 is a fun game..Not saying it is perfect and replicates the NFL exactly. It is a fun game to play. A review says that the online ea servers do not work and the game crashes, which is not true at all. I have played since release date and the live works perfectly and has only crashed once or twice.

Good But as Always a Deliberate Step Back

It seems like Madden does this on purpose every year. They take 8 steps forward and take 10 steps back. Lets cut to thhe chase. The game in overall is good. The graphics are good but are rooms for imporvemnt. Compared to madden 10 (didnt get 11) the frame rate dropped alot. My biggest complaints about the game are 1 the online roster loading , 2 o- line blocking or even blocking in ,general running animation ,and lastly the rate of sacks. The online roster (at least for me) takes about 30 seconds to load when your about to play someone. It leads to people assuming your not there and in turn they leave the team select screen. Its just terrible when considering it used to take at most 4 seconds to load in madden 10. The o line is basically useless. Even when you purposely run in a manner to align your lineman with a defender, they constantly miss blocks leading to very short gain or losses. And speaking of running, the running animation is so cheesy. Again i go back to madden 10, in madden 10 changing directions while running was a commitment in that the player would slow down to make a cut and had weight distribution in their cuts. In this years madden, runners make cuts like there feathers. Which leads to many cheesy runs and alot of missed tackles. For the sacks, it crazy. even if your have way through your throwing motion and contact is made with you you will be sacked . In madden 10, it would lead to a botched throw to the ground which is realsitic not getting sacked. And even worse when your playing smart and try to throw the ball away while scrambling you still get sacked! Its just too crazy the amount of sacks that happen in this game. For online this is somehting that EA cant control, you will face alot of nano blitzing, no huddle every play cheesers that make the experience fustrating and fake. EA took steps back on the little things like the lack of a timer telling you that your opponent is ready to resume the game. For audio, its the same old same old where youll here chris say the dame thing all the time. Gus adds a element of excitiment which is good to hear from time to time. Overall a solid game though that will last you the season.

Madden 12 is not a good game. It is not even a ok game. The game is fulled with glitches and bugs. First, the created playbooks do not work correctly. Secondly, the game defensive play is unrealistic. Third, a game that do not let you control the defensive line stunts is not worth playing. The average person that slant, pinch, spread, and ect. the madden defensive line audibles may think this is realistic. However, most teams use twist and double twist to keep their linebacker cleanly off of offensive linemen. 2k let you pick these fronts before you picked a play. Lastly, online play is horrible and the servers are constantly down. I am not a fanboy of any company but EA failed to give us a good football game this year. The NFL exclusive has hindered the competition and we are stuck with this water down game. I wasted 60 buck on this game and I am considering not buying EA products at all. I hope this review helped someone out there. .
