this is a great system with great 3d graphics. if you play too long the 3d will give you such an eyeachs. i had preordered this and got it when it came out. it was a great system, after awhile it got so boring with the same old boring games. so i eventually sold it. the fact that it is portable is great, but nintendo is giving out free gameboy games to people who have a 3ds before a certain date and this date is before the pricecut. the nintendo eshop does not have alot of titles that are in 3d. pretty much only the excitebike, pokemon, 3d video. its a great system, but it gets boring.

the first thing i notice when i first got was how much smaller and lighter it got . anoth new thing to the 3ds besides the 3d is the dash board looks better than ever and they added a thumb stick to move better .now people are wondering to buy the psp vita or 3ds i would think 3ds because sony i did not like the psp go . i know people are saying but 3ds has no games trust me they will nintendo is doing a great job right now because im use to love sony psp till they stop adding the good stuff there traped the psp vita coming in 2012 to long away if they want to come back they need to do it now

i know the 3ds does has a lot and a lot of games but im sencirely getting BOTH systems (the psvita and 3ds) because i know the ps vita is better and it doesnt damage your eyes and has 10 times better graphics than the 3ds it does not have 3d but has SMASHING graphics you just have to check it out and ps the ps vitta has a lot of games coming out just like the 3ds

Nintendo's most disappointing console to date

I bought a Nintendo 3DS day one and ever since then I have been regretting my purchase. The 3DS is by no means a bad console, it's just got horrible support.
The system looks very nice, it's got a sleek beautiful bluetastic design and the black on the top really compliments the beautiful blue lower half. Speaking of looks the graphical capabilities of this system are also great. Unfortunately though, looks don't get you very far in the world of gaming.
The system just doesn't have any good games. I don't know what the folks at Nintendo were thinking launching a system with nothing to play, and 5 months later, the only good game is a re-release of an 11 year old game with another on the way. The beautiful 3DS will eventually sit lonely on your desk collecting dust. In fact, the only games I've played on my 3DS were Nintendo DS games, and I eventually went back to play those on my DS lite which had a much better battery.
Speaking of battery life you'll get between 3 to 5 hours playing 3DS titles, yes, 3 hours for a system you're paying $250 for - or $170 in a few weeks. Nintendo DS games will give you around 8 hours or a tad bit more depending on your settings, compare that to the DSlite's incredible battery of well over 10 hours for a DS game. Yeah, whoever said Nintendo made great consoles with great batteries couldn't have predicted this monstrosity.
In the end the 3DS is just flat out boring, there are no good games out at the moment, the AR games are fun for a while but quickly get boring, the camera is VERY low quality, and the audio playback is terrible since you can't hear anything.
I'd tell you to wait for the Vita, but then Sony may drop the ball at launch like Nintendo did.

AMAZING!! I thought because of the fact that you don't need 3d glasses, was going to make the 3d not that GREAT... I was wrong. I bought this a while ago before they were talking about lowering the price so the price before was good, but the one coming is even better. I would recommend this to any of my friends.
