THIS SYSTEM IS GREAT IT HAS GREAT GRAPHICS AND THE 3D GAMES ARE AWESOME PLUS YOU CAN PLAY ALL YOUR OLD DS GAMES ON IT AS WELL SO I WOULD GET THIS IT OVERALL IS THE BEST HANHELD GAMING SYSTEM YET SO THANK YOU NINTENDO :)

Well bye the sounds of it, the 3ds must be really good, I mean I played It in Gamestop and it was really good, the graphics are good and I've had about every console, from the Nintendo 64 to the DSi and I have enjoyed them soo much. So I look forward to buying the 3ds :), thank you, your review was very helpful :)

can it play old games, and if it can does it play like the ds normally would?would it play ds games in 3d?

First of all, to set things straight, if you never liked a Nintendo platform, get off this page and save your $250. If you are OK with Nintendo, you can think about it. If you are a die-hard Nintendo fan, you'll like this. The Nintendo 3DS is NOT worth the price it's listed at, especially since the games out now suck for it. There will be better games for it later. The features on it are similar to that of the Wii's. Not much difference.

I recently played this system and I have to say, all the classic Nintendo games are coming back unfortunately...only for this system. There aren't too many great games out there made specifically for this system not to mention it's very unlike the other DS systems because of it's inability to function with their games. All the games you buy for this system have to be specifically made to play in real 3-D. Don't get me wrong - it's a great little system but only if you're really serious about the new age of 3-D. I tend to say we expected more from the 3DS because there was such an uproar of people crying out for something new, something better, something that would make you feel as if you were in the actual game itself and I guess everyone got what they asked for...in the form of the 3DS. It's a lot like the PSP - some people are all for it and some people can't stand it. If you loved your Nintendo DS/lite/i, I'm not sure I would trade up to get the 3DS. The GameStop down the road from me has only about 5 good games for it and those can get boring after awhile. I might consider getting one when the price crashes but other than that...no, I wouldn't waste almost $300 on a system that shows everything in 3-D. Besides, the 3-D part kind of hurts your eyes after long gameplay especially if you're sensitive to that kind of stuff. Would I recommend it? Certainly. But not to those of us who are completely happy with our old DS's.

Well 1st u can play the DS games for the 3ds b/c it says so on the details and they are going to make more games that are really going to raise the roof. Like in the future they're gonna make a Super smahs bros. for the 3ds and the WiiU and I bet its going to be the game of the year, and I know what you mean about the games are going to get boreing after a while, but they're constantly making and releasing games every other week and yeah I know what you mean I'm saving up for one and by the time I finsh saving the price is probably already gonna be dropped but I have high hopes for the 3ds.

The Nintendo 3DS is a great gaming system. There is a lot of built in software and the 3D is awesome. Both colors are good but I prefer blue. Buy this system!
