A well-defined handheld.

What i felt when i first unboxed this was strange, its look was alien to me and i had felt like i was exploring a completely new terrain, the two camera's in the back is a function taken from the DSi, interesting, but because of the ability to make pictures 3D that was a new innovation in technology intergrated into the 3DS. the camera(s) work very well and have out performed what i felt they would. For the 3D effect it was actually pretty complex and interesting trying to find out where it performed best on the screen, find otu there was a "center" was definitely a new idea but we are just entering a complicated era of new technology, but for a first try for 3D without glasses, Very nice! now for everything else like the controll pad(s) and buttons, everything is still nice and works very well, the new "Joystick" or as i would call it "The Analog" it works very well, so much infact that I simply was awestruck it worked so well! Nintendo kudos to you my friends! what you have made changes many different things about the 3DS! playing some of the new games with it felt fluid, like I was playing in an arcade or with an original N64 Controller! now for the other controll pad, it felt the same like the past DSlight-DSi, didnt change the feel, stayed the way I personally prefer it. buttons still felt the same aswell, nothing different from what I felt in the past, perfect placement of them, nothing changed, nothing lost. now for the slot for an SD card being put right underneath the volume button was a nice way to have it. everything else was put in a neat fashion but there was two flaws that really got me thinking starting with this: "Nintendo, why did you move the stylus from the right side of the system to the top of it? the most unorthdox place to put it?" when i was playing my DSi before this the stylus was nice and placed on the right, for super-fast drawing when you needed it, but now that its on the back of the system i need to get adjusted to it, its hard having to draw it from the back quite fast. infact, its quite slow now. i need much more practice to get used to doing that. for my last part of this review, i just cannot stand one thing, the home, start and select button, the way the "Buttons" are placed on a pad a the bottom of the system seemed kind of old feeling, nostalgic if I have the right to say, it reminded me of using the keypad from OLD systems, just as i said before, we are beggining a new era, but cmon, no need to be pulling out the older stuff again, i dont mind the new "Pad" but i would rather have 3 buttons at the bottom. that is all i have to say about the new 3DS, a step into the future but a couple steps back also.

I don't think the 3DS is for everyone. It is good, but from my experience with it, it's great, Ocarina of Time is so far from what I've seem the main reason to buy the 3DS. The 3D is a bit bothersome at times if you aren't used to it. The graphics are able to be quite good, from what I've seen not all the games have the good graphics. The 3DS has an E-shop for games and there are videos and other games, Excite Bike is free on the E-shop and it is 3D enabled. Over-all a great system.

The Nintendo 3ds is really a must have thing of the year. I got mine just last week and I already loving it. You can actually play games in 3ds and can also TAKE and VIEW pictures in 3d. You can play the fun AR games and play Face Raiders. I made Mii characters of my entire family. It is really easy to make them since you just take a picture and the 3ds does all the other work. The Activity Log is fun to because the more you walk you can earn some play coins ( you can only get 10 play coins per day). The eshop is AWESOME!!!!!!!!! I downloaded Excite bike and the Pokedex 3d. The 3d is really amazing in Excite Bike. I can't wait to get Super Mario Land when I buy the Nintendo 3ds Pre Paid card. Playing games is really fun and awesome when you play the game in 3d. The 3d really impresses me a lot.

Well It's Almost Perfect

As you can already tell I am writing this review because I own a 3ds. Let me just tell you the all out truth about this handheld........its an amazing peice of hardware, but its not perfect. I mean for the system the only thing I'm not really satisfied with is the camera, if they made it a little more powerful I would give this system a 10 out of 10, but I cant. The part that I think killed the 3ds for its launch though is its lack of amazing launch titles......so thats all I really have to say.....hope I satisfied you a little bit. :)
