The Nitendo 3DS is no more 3D than a Wii is a X-box. There is no real 3D to this all turning on the "3D' does is deepen the plan of view, it only looks like 3D but really it isn't. This was told to be one of Nitendo's greatest gaming acheivments. But sadly it was the WORST!

I have to say, this system overall is a big leap in handheld technology. But people don't get systems for the system, they get the system to play the games it offers. Don't get me wrong, this system is very fun to pass the time with FaceRaiders, AR Games, and such, but the real games? When I got the 3DS, the 3D was very amazing. But it does hurt your eyes after a while, so I mostly play in 2D, but I think it's because I'm used to it. This 3DS is basically another type of DS, with better graphics and 3D built in. Nintendogs + Cats: Golden Retriever is okay in 3D. When I think of 3D, I think about grapics inside the screen popping out at you. Nintendogs + Cats doesn't have that same "Wow!" effect that the 3D in the movies gives you. LEGO Pirate's of the Caribbean is very fun gameplay, and it reminds me of the GC LEGO games when I was younger. The only things that really have 3D effects in the game, are the cutscenes, and when you pick up those little LEGO coins and they fly into the upper left screen. Other than that, no "Wow!" effect. AR Games is so amazing. I never had the Playstation Eye, so things like EyePet were never in my life. AR Games is a fun way to pass the time and it does have that "Wow!" effect. FaceRaiders... It is fun, the 3D has a semi "Wow!" effect, but sometimes it's boring. That's pretty much all I have to say, but is the 3DS really worth it, based on my review? I'd say yes. It's not perfect, and it's not horrible, but it IS very, very, fun.

I would recommend this system to anyone who's into portable consoles. Nintendo really stepped up on the graphic innovation when they developed the 3DS and I am thoroughly impressed with the games and system performance on it. Though the 3D is astounding and can sometimes produce some headaches while playing in 3D but overall the Nintendo 3DS is very good overall.
